The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, despite us not speaking Chinese and them not speaking English! They booked our taxi back to Hezhou station and when we could not find the hotel (the map pin is in the wrong place - it’s really just through the gate after the big tree), they came to collect us and walked us to the place.
The bed was a good size and very comfy. Room was clean and air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was small but Huangyao is a short stop so this doesn’t matter too much - shower was good and hot.
It was a shame that the door was bolted closed at 6:45am so I couldn’t go for an early stroll - 24/7 reception advertised but maybe not provided.

The B&B is not far from the entrance of the ancient town, and parking is convenient. The boss and his wife are very nice. My child caught a cold during the day and helped me find moxa sticks everywhere. They helped me carry my luggage and introduced the attractions. Their Huangjing steamed chicken is really good and worth a try. They also gave us some specialties before leaving. I want to stay here next time I come to play~
