We had the most wonderful experience during our stay, thanks to the incredible help and kindness of Ivy, who works at the reception. She is the only Chinese person we met on our trip who speaks perfect English, and we honestly could not have managed without her. Ivy went above and beyond to help us organize our trip in China — from planning the perfect itinerary for both Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen Mountain, to patiently answering every question with warmth and care. Her support was absolutely priceless. When we returned to the hotel soaked and exhausted before our flight, the hotel manager also stepped in to help us dry off and pull ourselves together. They even arranged the best possible vehicle to take us to the airport, completely free of charge. We are beyond grateful. God bless all of them, and especially Ivy, who is truly the sweetest and most helpful person we've met on our journey. Xie Xie from the bottom of our hearts! The hotel itself is amazing with super comfortable rooms and a great location — just a short walk from the South Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this magical place. The dinner is tasty and nicely cooked!

The previous article was metaphysical. This article is about something practical. We were a group of three people, two and a half foreigners, and we entered Hunan from Hong Kong. First of all, all the photos are original and unprocessed. Hardware: No matter where the guests come from, if they have certain aesthetic requirements, they will not be shocked when they come to Guyu. From the design of the homestay, the selection of flowers and trees in the park (the colors of the flowers in the park are as beautiful as dyed), to the selection of bedding in the room, to the selection of toiletries and carpets in the bathroom, it can be seen that the owner has put a lot of thought into it. The bed and pillow are quite comfortable. We slept like babies for several days. In one of our rooms, standing on the balcony, when the weather is good, you can see the Tianmen Cave. The whole park is very clean and there is always someone cleaning. And it is filled with the fragrance of flowers. It is especially sweet after the rain. I heard that you can pick it in autumn and make tea in winter. The Chinese restaurant is a farmhouse. The staff in the Chinese restaurant are also very warm and cute. The Western restaurant currently serves barbecue and breakfast. We don't have high requirements for food, and we can't eat spicy food anyway. As long as it's clean and we know what the ingredients are, we don't care much. The toilet in the western restaurant can be changed into a toilet. The swimming pool looks beautiful, but it's just for people to check in and take pictures. Because there are no lounge chairs, no towels, and no place to sit. But you can ask the western restaurant to buy beer! Software: Refer to the previous article. The most valuable thing in the whole hotel is the butlers. There are good hardware everywhere, especially in today's China. But it's not easy to have such a group of people in such a local place. We didn't worry about anything along the way. The butler helped to book various tickets (because we didn't know how to do it) and provided transportation. And the butler is on standby 24 hours a day, and any problems need to be solved immediately. It's like a god. The cats and dogs in the B&B are another plus. Those kittens are so cute that I want to secretly put them in my bag and bring them back to Hong Kong :) The natural and elegant environment, coupled with a few cute people, a dog who likes to play with stones, and a few kittens who are forced to work, who would not linger here?

The hotel's service staff are very professional and enthusiastic, and are always available to help when you need it. The breakfast variety is rich and varied, meeting the needs of different tastes. This hotel has got a swimming pool which is a very pleasant way to relax after a long day of treck. But this is one of the less important advantage. The rooms are nice and originally furnished. The owners are just greats, very caring, ready to help. Have you ever heard owners ready to use their own vehicle to bring you to the airport ? Well they did ! I wouldn't have strong enough words to say how we appreciated the service. Thank you !

Really enjoyed our stay at Xman. Xiao liu provided the best service! Our mandarin isn’t great and had no itinerary, and she helped to plan our itinerary to make sure we saw the best of Zhangjiajie in our short 4 days there and even purchased the tickets for us when we checked in. She was always smiling and made tea for us whenever she saw us. Was lucky to have the chance to chat with the boss on one night! He has so many stories to tell and if you love Chinese history, you are in for an invaluable session. In the mornings we started our day with a hearty breakfast. At our preferred time, the driver will drop us at the Zhangjiajie park entrance just 10 min drive away and he will pick us up at the end of the day. Really appreciate this value added service! The room felt homely and was spacious, had the necessary amenities like bedroom slippers and the softest robe ever created! Getting a didi to and from the city centre was also relatively easy. The wood floor was peeling a little probably due to the damp weather but they were doing renovations to the other rooms so it’s probably in a better state now! I only wish the weather was better so we could see the sunrise. Regardless, the view was still so beautiful and I definitely will recommend everyone to stay here.

The boss studied art design and built the camp himself. The decorations and furniture are very comfortable and enjoyable. The campsite is separated from the forest park by only a mountain. When you open the curtain gate, you will see the green mountains, sometimes shrouded in clouds and mist, and the scenery is amazing. He is very talkative and treats guests like friends. The pick-up and drop-off at the campsite and scenic spots is prompt and fast. I wanted to check out late, and he agreed after checking it out. He also arranged for me to dig three bamboo shoots and pick some berry tea leaves. I was very satisfied with the three-day stay.

Overall, it can be described as impeccable. Before I went, I read the reviews saying it was good, but I didn't expect it to be so good. The courtyard landscape is beautiful, but there is also a super-amazing backyard with mountain and stream views, which is perfectly combined with the garden landscape. There is even a cable bridge in the yard~ The room is new and beautiful, but it is also well-arranged. There are actually two entrances to the room at the stairs leading into the mountain, and there is also a starry sky room by the stream. We upgraded from the starry sky room to a small suite with a living room for free, but there is also a balcony in the room, with a lounge chair and a futon on the balcony. There is a big banana tree outside the bathroom window, with leaves 1.5 meters long. It is the most beautiful bathroom I have ever seen~. You can actually do self-service laundry on the roof. Laundry is fine, but the key is to see fireflies by the way when you go to collect clothes at night. That's fine, and you can catch crabs in the stream, small fish, and see 🐿️ on the steps in the early morning~ All aspects are good, but they also provide us with route planning consultation, which is really practical and we don't have to go back. Finally, we upgraded to a farewell to the high-speed rail station. Well, to be honest, when I left, I was full of envy and jealousy. How lucky I was to be able to work here. Next time if I have the chance, I will come here in autumn to feel the chestnuts hitting my head!

Recommendation index 5 stars, about the location: the hotel is located in a small village in the village. The mountains are very quiet. You can enjoy the mountain view in the hotel, and the view from the room is also very nice. About the hotel: The hotel has a strong sense of design, and the facilities in the room are complete, neat and clean. About service: The two housekeepers in the hotel, Awen and Xiao Zhang, are serious and responsible. They have been serving the tourists throughout the whole process since they received our order, including the route to check in at the hotel, the route to play, daily meals, etc., which made our trip to Zhangjiajie worry-free, trouble-free and time-saving. About pet-friendliness: We basically bring our dogs with us when we travel, so one of the necessary conditions for travel is pet-friendliness. Bringing your furry children here is simply a paradise. It is also very convenient to walk the dog. There is a large lawn behind the hotel where the puppies can move freely.

We really enjoyed our stay here, more of a personalised stay than large chain hotels, our hosts were awesome, friendly and provided good travel advice. They helped with our trip planning through the national park so we weren't touring at the busiest times and didn't have long lines for some of the attractions. Delicious meals at their restaurant, make sure you check the menu QR code in the room (more options) try the Ai Ye Baba - rice flour wormwood cake. Stunning views and a very comfortable room, lots of places to relax and enjoy the scenery around the property with convenient tea facilities at the different spots around the property. Will stay again for our next visit to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie.

This is probably the best stay I’ve had in awhile, the staff are all extremely helpful with itinerary suggestions, and they also provide some savings with ticket bookings (alike other reviews mentioned). On top of that, the staff were constantly meticulous and attention to our needs, while out and about we ran into issues as non-chinese citizens, they response rate via wechat was almost always instant. Additionally, since we also do not have chinese phone numbers, we were limited from many online functions such as ordering food or contacting delivery personnels, the 客栈 employees were all willing to help with the contacting to rush for our parcels, and we were allowed to use their numbers to order food in. Extremely pleasant stay, and extremely satisfied. Only downside being that the breakfast spread was the same every single day, but it is still a sufficient amount of variety, by the second morning you would know exactly what you would grab. Recommending the hot soy milk with jam on toast, and their scallion oil (?) bread buns! Laundry can be done for free (on your own) but there is no dryer, hanging the apparels on the roof’s drying racks dries the clothes much more quickly. Rooms are clean with no issue, very nice.
