The best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel looks absolutely stunning instead and out. The location couldn’t possibly get any better. It is just a few min walk to the start of the zhangjiajie trail. There is also a busy lit up area nearby which was fun to explore at night after the hike. We were upgraded to the river view and it was just so beautiful. The staff were so lovely, from the people at the front desk who booked all our tickets, showed us the route to take, to the cleaners and breakfast staff. The room was extremely clean. I have no complaints.

Hotel is 15mins walk to East entrance of Zhangjiajie National Park. Nearby are some food shops. Hotel has massage. Walk 5mins out to main road has many food outlet. Take a didi to Central has more shops. Room wise is comfortable with smart features. Love the smart toilet bowl.

The room was as the pictures, very comfortable and big for 4.
However the breakfast did not have any juices, cocoa for children and the breakfast was very plain (not that many choices)

Absolutely perfect stay! ☺️
The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right next to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park, so within just a few minutes’ walk you’re already immersed in breathtaking natural beauty. Upon arrival, we received a delightful surprise: a free upgrade to a huge room with an incredible mountain view… waking up to such a view every morning felt like a dream!
Another standout feature is the swimming pool—a rare gem in Chinese hotels. The water was a bit cool, but after a long day of trekking it turned out to be incredibly refreshing and invigorating.
The breakfast is mostly Chinese-style—tasty and plentiful. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add some fruit juice, which would surely be appreciated by Western travelers.
What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the reception staff. They went above and beyond in helping us book our park tickets—assisting with schedules, routes, and even securing tickets in advance. Their support was absolutely delightful and made our entire experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Wonderful hotel. Very conveniently located to the eastern entrance. The staff is always ready to help in any situation. Breakfasts are Chinese, you can eat only noodles and watermelon, there is coffee. There is a washing machine on each floor, on the 6th floor you can dry your laundry. Excellent pool.

Our stay at Lanting Elegant Restaurant Hotel was absolutely flawless. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The room itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and had the most breathtaking views of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park — waking up to those iconic sandstone pillars felt like a dream.
The location is unbeatable, right by the park entrance, making it so convenient for exploring. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay.

Got upgraded to the river view which is better instead of just viewing the trees.
Very convenient location, walking distance to the wulingyuan, eateries and little convenient store just downstairs.
Self paid airport/Station transfer booking service available.
Home cooked local breakfast daily - comfort food just what we need: mantou, porridge, noodles, coffee, soya bean.
Cleanliness can be improved, less stains and hair around the room (beddings and bathroom), less cobwebs and trapped dust.
