A Hidden Gem in Zhangjiajie – Unforgettable Stay! We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Bantianju Hostel, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The place has such a warm, cozy, and homey vibe – the kind of atmosphere that instantly makes you want to extend your stay. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating, always making sure we had everything we needed. While the owner speaks a little English, communication was never a problem thanks to a translator app – and honestly, their hospitality spoke volumes on its own. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with an automated heated toilet (a small luxury that goes a long way!). The view from the property is out of this world – waking up to the stunning sight of Tianmen Mountain every day was truly surreal. It’s something I’ll never forget. The hostel also has a great pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. And the Chinese food they serve is top-notch – authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with love. One of the biggest highlights was the hand-brewed tea the owner shared with us – possibly the best tea we’ve ever had! To top it all off, they even gave us a ride to the airport when we left – just one more gesture that showed how much they care about their guests. If you're planning a trip to Zhangjiajie, do yourself a favor and stay at Bantianju Hostel. It’s more than just a place to sleep – it’s an experience filled with warmth, beauty, and unforgettable views.

Amazing place with super friendly staff. The lady’s who worked here helped us with putting our laundry inside when we where away and it was raining. We really appreciate that! The room was spacious en the garden and vieuw where also awesome 😁

This was an absolute find! The nicest couple run this homestay and couldn’t have done more to help us with our stay. They arranged cars, helped plan trips and were just lovely. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable and for the price, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Great stay with great hospitality! Really nice that they offer pickup and drop off at the airport. The area where the hotel is located has a very remote atmosphere(which we loved!), but since the whole town is small it takes no time and 10-15RMB with a didi to reach downtown. Overall they were really accommodating here. The woman that runs the place helped us with booking tickets to the national park + gave us a walk through of all the attractions we should see. When our plans changed and we had to leave a day early they approved our second night cancellation right away. We only ate here once, but it was delicious with huge portions. They also have self serve vine tea in the rooms which we appreciated, and you can even buy some at the hotel if you don’t have time to buy somewhere else. Last but not least - view of tianmen mountain is incredible from this place!

It had countryside view and could look at the heavens gate from the outside pool. Could hear the airplanes a little but not too loud.
