Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel

Old hotel but is still nice. Rooms are spacious and got all the basic necessities for the entire stay. Huge pool and the breakfast is also good.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pullman. George from the concierge was very helpful in booking our tickets. The location is fantastic, close to East Gate, with major attractions just a few kilometers away. Although we hired a Didi, it's also possible to walk to these attractions. The western food section in the restaurant could use some improvement; the pizza tasted more like cheese on bread than an actual pizza. However, the breakfast buffet was quite nice. We definitely recommend this place for families, as the pool is great for both kids and adults after a long day of walking.

I booked this hotel for my mom since my husband and I stayed there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. However, she said that no one would speak to her in any English (when we were there, everyone was very helpful and the manager was foreign). She also had a bad experience with a massage she booked. She thought she could charge it to the room, but the woman demanded cash, then once she paid, wouldn’t let her out of the room until she gave an extra tip. Apparently that was the only word she said in English the whole time. I’ve never been expected to tip in China, so this seems like they’re taking advantage of foreign guests who may not know better. The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the national park, but the concierge tried to get her to take a taxi for way too much to a different gate. Luckily, she called me to ask if that was worth it and I told her, “no, don’t take a ¥50 taxi to another gate when you’re less than 1km from one of the main gates.” It just made her start to feel uncomfortable that everyone in the hotel was trying to trick her. It’s a shame because the hotel is lovely and the breakfast is actually quite good, which my mom said is still the case. But she had a very mixed experience where the hotel was great, but the staff didn’t make her feel well taken care of. Very different from my husband’s and my experience a few years ago.

Hotel is located at a great location. Its walking distance from Tianzi mountain scenic area entrance. Beautiful views from balcony and good spread of breakfast including some options for vegans and non Chinese cuisines. Staff understands basic english. Hotel has in house Convenience store where you can buy basic stuff like biscuits, cold drinks, beer and toiletries and other travel amenities at almost regular prices. In the night, a flee market is there in the lane outside the hotel where you can buy souvenirs and local specialities at cheap price. Overall a satisfactory experience.

Nice clean big room and big twin beds. Close to Wulingyuan scenic park 10 minutes drive and city center is around 15 minutes walk. Enjoy the breakfast and various type foods. Recommend

It’s a great location near the Forest park, the staff is friendly and the food in the restaurant is delicious. They helped us to book all the tours. Only one minus is the pool with the caps and the guy there.

Our stay at the Pullman was a great experience. The rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast was expansive, and the location was great. However, what truly made our experience was the exceptional customer service of the concierge, Mark. He went above and beyond to arrange tickets, taxis, explain itineraries to us for the park, it felt like we had our own tour guide. He kept in contact with us through WeChat even after he was off duty to ensure we got to our next location. I am so impressed and grateful for his help. Highly recommend staying at the Pullman. I stayed during the Christmas holidays 🎄 with my family (also got Christmas gifts 🎁 😃). This hotel is very near to the Wujiauyu ticket office (around 1km). The hotel staff is really helpful in giving tips for travel around scenic areas and few of them speak English well. I stayed with my family and they upgraded my room for free. 😃 You can also get a discount ticket from the hotel for the Charming Xiangxi show, which is just adjacent to the hotel. If you got tiered roaming in the scenic area you can also try foot massage. If I visit Zhangjiajie again, this hotel will be my first choice.
