I can’t say enough about how great this place is and the woman who runs it!! She helped us with booking everything! Even drove us to the city and the gate to the Zhangjiajie National Forest ❤️ we told her how much time we had each day and she came up with an itinerary for us that was spot on! She also arranged for our luggage to be at the railway station so we didn’t have to drag it everywhere. She made us feel at home. Breakfast was great AND dinner was great too. Thank you!!!!

Hotel is located near to Huangshi-zhai Scenic Area (Yellow Stone Village). 黄石寨.
WeChat with the Hostel lady owner 2 week before arrival with many days' discussion on my 4-day visit.
With her advice, she helped us book ticket in advance, help us buy discounted ticket.
For this, we save our time buying ticket and save some cost. We just scan our passport we can enter the attraction, certain attraction we just scan our face, and we can enter.
She also arranges our transportation to and from high-speed train station.
Every morning, we had home cook breakfast before we set off for our tour.
I book a Family Room, consist of 1 double bed & 2 single bed with heated blanket.
Bathtub, bathroom with heater and also hot air, toilet seat with heater, warm water spray, hot air for drying buttock and with auto flush.
A projector in the room for watching tv & cinema show. Curtain control by remote control. Everyday given Chinese medicine to soak our tried leg.
I am fully satisfied with my stay in the hostel.

i can ABSOLUTELY recommend this beautiful place! it’s ideally located near the park entry for the famous avatar mountains! our host was amazing :) we arrived late at night, were pressed for tie and on a budget… yet she helped us to get the very best out of our two day stay and literally organized everything!
the house has a beautiful view of the mountains close by and if you haven’t booked the mountain view option the house has a beautiful roof terrace with two massage chairs
last but not least, traveling veggie/vegan posed no problem for her and the lovely two aunties who cooked us delicious late night dinner and all

The owner of the hotel is great, she is super helpful and caring. Although, the room was very cold and the AC did not work properly, luckily there was a heated blanket. The shower water was too cold. It was close to the national park but difficult moving up and down during winter snow. No restaurants near by. Beautiful scenery and surroundings.

This was the biggest snowfall in Zhangjiajie in ten years. We worked hard to do every reception work. Even the aunties in the store could cook dinner. Language communication was a big obstacle, but we always had WeChat. I have been communicating with you all the time. If you need anything, please send us a WeChat message anytime! There are 13 rooms in Yueshanju, which is a five-ton hot water reservoir. The water volume in the room is three times that of the room, and the water is specially upgraded and heated in heavy snow! It’s usually around 60°! The temperature has been extremely low these days, so the hot water needs to be left for a few more minutes. There are many guests checking in every day, so hot water must be guaranteed! We have aunties who can dine in all the time! There are many restaurants at the entrance of the scenic spot! When I took you to the pharmacy, I asked you specifically! Our room has electric blankets and air conditioning! It’s not floor heating, but it’s normally not cold! The next day, I continued cleaning and found that the temperature in your room was not high. It turned out that the air temperature was too low and the air conditioner would automatically freeze in the middle. The air conditioner would stop for a few minutes. You pressed the wrong button on the remote control. I am really sorry! When you go out to play, as a business, we will try our best to take good care of every customer who comes to the store, because we know very well that this is a great fate! Poor communication, I'm very sorry for such a check-in experience. Please forgive me for the poor care! We will help you change your stay to Tianmen Mountain on the 8th so that it is convenient to go to the airport the next day! Today is the Chinese New Year! The hotel is located near the South gate of Zhangjiajie park, which can even be reached on foot (25 minutes) and it offers a wonderful views of the mountains! The hotel itself and the room are both exquisite. Among the unexpected amenities, there is even a bed warmer! The staff is very welcoming and friendly, they even let us in to leave our bags at 7:30 in the morning and drove us to the nearest bus stop when we left. Breakfast is homemade and local, I invite you to try it out! We loved our stay there (wish it longer), definitely the best experience. Thank you!

What made us really impressed was the hotel owner, she really helped us in everything, From making super delicious dumplings to arranging our tour (from discounted entrance tickets, up to arranging our transportation), So any guest who will stay at this hotel will get a good experience in traveling.
Another thing that we like is that the bed has a heater, which is very helpful, especially during winter like now.
If you can, try the watermelon ginger drink made by the owner of this hotel, it's very delicious and really refreshing.
Finally, I would like to say thank you very much for all the services provided to us which made our tour memorable.

Beautiful hotel located nearby the entrance of wulingyuan (avatar mountains). The owner is very friendly and will drive you to the gate in the morning personally!

The service in this hôtel is great, the food is good and the owners are very friendly. Although the hotel is a bit far from restaurants, the boss will drive you down the hill anytime you need (togo in the park or go eat) and will also come get you (its a 3 mins drive). But the most important is the view. The view from this hotel is beautiful. There are no rooms facing a building. They all face the mountains. You wake ip and already feel like you are visiting the park. The rooms are also very nice, like in the pictures.

The hotel is nearby to the south entrance of the national park. The owner is very helpful and readily to assist their guests all the time in planning the trip and driving the guests to and back from the park. We also engaged a tour guide recommended by the hotel owner and enjoyed the guided tour service very much as the tour guide was very patient and took good care and pictures for us. We always travel independently in China and Europe without any tour guide. Overall, the hotel is clean and we truly enjoy our stay in this warm family-run hotel.

We had a great stay at the Yueshanju Hostel! The owner is incredibly friendly and helped us to book our tickets for the park, and even gave us a ride. The rooms are also really beautiful!

The hotel was amazing. Beautiful building and rooms with great views of the mountains. Very clean. They also have breakfast and dinner available at your convenience. The best part of staying here was the service. The host planned your entire itinerary to help you get the most out of however long you were staying. I was also traveling solo and she checked on me that I was safe and got places alright. She also quickly fixed any issues. Next time I’m in Zhangjiajie, I’m staying here.

The Hostel was excellent and the owner went out of her way to help us when required. It was a surprise that we were able to pay for a hot meal in the evening, and the food was excellent! Overall a great stay!

.not near the east gate where more activities are around so quite far away (20min drive way)
.just note that the toilet paper can’t be thrown inside the toilet bowl
.didi drivers may say that the hostel v secluded
.pickup from train station can be done by the hostel with a fee (70-80 rmb)

I had the most amazing stay at Yueshanju. The hospitality is beyond impressive and this is one of my favourite guesthouses I have stayed in my years of travels. I had arrived very early on the first day after a long travel night. I had Wechatted the guesthouse owner the day before and she helped me figure so many things out ahead of time from park tickets to taxi pick up when I arrived so early in the morning. I immediately felt safe and cared for since before I arrived. After arriving, they made sure to have a space for me to rest before my room was ready. They put the effort into having my room ready earlier which was so sweet of them. The guesthouse owners are a couple and they drive/pick up guests back and forth from the park entrances. They are very dedicated, considerate, hard working and kind individuals. I appreciated getting to stay here and even extended my stay by one night because it was a great place to relax.
The room itself is so comfortable. There is everything you need. The whole guesthouse is essentially ran by a family. I was impressed with how much they do! The food they make is delicious and home cooked as well. I enjoyed the breakfast options and dinner was really delicious. Anytime I needed anything, I would ask and they would accommodate or provide as soon as they could. This place is ran by very genuine people, and I am so glad I got to experience this stay and meet the folks here. Will definitely be coming back!
