Hampton by Hilton Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

I like the fact that you can check the availability of the washing machines and dryers on the TV screen. I also appreciate the abundant supply of mineral water at the lift lobby. Everything was good except for: (1) the cleanliness of the restaurant where breakfast was served. There was a dead insect stuck onto the bowl and there were dead insects on the glass window pane. (2) the size of the kettle counter in the room is miserably small and I even broke the mug! (2) the crew at the restaurant didn't have much customer-centric attitude. I would like to compliment staff at reception counter Mao Li Hua, who was attentive and polite and positioned herself to serve guests. However, whenever we passed by the reception in the evenings, we always saw this female and male staff chatting away by themselves at the edge of the counter.

This property is only 12 minutes easy walk to the forest park’s East Gate entrance. Coffee & tea, bottled water, ice cream, yoghurt milk are offered for free in the lobby. The genial lady 李阿姨generously helps us with our laundry requirements and delivered the washed items right up to our room. Great service! Special thanks also to 羅先生 who helped us plan an orderly tour to the different attractions within the park. Breakfast is quite satisfying but repetitive. Overall, I like this place and would recommend it to anyone visiting Wulingyuan.

A fabulous choice at zhangjiajie. Situated in the beautiful town of Wulingyuan, this is a clean and spacious hotel with the national forest gate just about 15 minutes by foot. There are tonnes of restaurants, bakeries, grocery shops around. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, well lit and spacious, breakfast has everything from fruits to noodles, eggs, tea, milk and coffee. They also provide freebies like unlimited water, cold drinks, juices, cookies, coffee and ice creams in the lobby 24x7. Special mention for our superstar Miumiu for arranging all our tickets for the excursions and providing helpful tips. She was always there to help. We appreciate the assistance and would certainly love to come back.

Very good service in give National Forest guide direction For people who first time coming to Zhangjiajie like us, this hotel has very good service. They provide some staff that assist tourists to get a guide direction in Zhangjiajie National Forest route. This national forest park is very huge. The entrance ticket is available for 4 days visit. So you can imagine how big this area is. Therefore, if you do not have enough time, you need a brief information that helps us arrange the excellent routes so that we can get the point of view and enjoy it. That is the purpose of this staff, to help us, bravo! Thanks to Huan Huan, female staff, your instruction is awesome. The hotel room is spacious enough, but lacks of wardrobe. Breakfast is amazing with many varian cuisine. There is a free laundry service that is very helpful for long tourists like us. The kind thing is this hotel put drinking water (bottles) everywhere. It is very pleasant, so hotel guests do not worry about drinking anymore. One more satisfying thing is the drain shower. The water pressure is strong but soft. Getting our body washed with a treatment like this after a tiring journey is very enjoyable.

The hotel is new so the rooms are pretty clean. The breakfast is ok. But being a vegan, there ain’t much options. We were surprised that there was a metal (probably part of a metal scrubber) in the porridge. For this, I give a 4-star. There is free self-served laundry services. But the lady at the laundry is very helpful and help to spin dry the clothes, followed by sending them back to the room.
