Everything you would expect from a five star hotel. I stayed for 5 nights on the 28th floor in July 2024. The huge rooms are well appointed and mostly very quiet- thanks to good double glazing and double thick, rebated doors with seals. It also looks like there are no rooms opposite each other which minimises any hallway noise. The king bed was firm but softer than most that I've had in decades of visiting China. I didn't like that there was only one type of flat pillow in my room. I liked the walls that slide out to separate the bathroom from the bedroom. The shower had excellent water pressure and constant temperature with hot water arriving quickly. Really dark blockout curtains. Fast wifi. breakfast buffet on the 39th floor with mostly western and Asian choices. The machine coffee was average. The extensive view was limited on most of the mornings due to rain and fog. The hotel is directly linked to the Wanda shopping mall, which has Uniqlo, KFC, pizza hut and many restaurants- if you don't feel like paying the exorbitant Marriott food prices. Unfortunately there is no supermarket nearby. Only some mini markets like Lawson.

I have stayed in too many hotels, so I will talk about something professional here. The hotel accommodation is distributed in three buildings. The Crown Building is the hardest to find. It is really hard for outsiders to find it. The parking spaces are shared with other merchants, but the hotel provides free parking spaces. You can park anywhere. The room I stayed in was in the Crown Building. It was very intelligent, large and quiet, with a large flow of shower water. It had all the basic settings of a five-star hotel, including Tmall smart voice control. It was great, but it was a pity that there was no sofa in such a big room. I still don't quite understand it. Is it because I lack money for a sofa? I think it's obviously not. I hope it will be improved in the future. It's really inconvenient without a sofa. I won't go into details. It's a five-star hotel, and I don't need to elaborate.

The environment is very good, the room is clean and tidy, the breakfast is also very rich, and the freshly made dumplings are delicious. The service staff are very polite, there is welcome fruit at the door, and the front desk lady also upgraded our room ๐The children kept saying that this hotel is so high-end, better than many hotels worth thousands!

For those who don't dare to travel during the Golden Week, it is definitely a wise decision to choose the small city of Zhangjiagang this time. There is no traffic jam and no large passenger flow. The hotel where we stayed at night is very nice inside and outside. Xiaoxin, a hotel employee, helped us reserve a room early and informed us of the route, which was very considerate. I wish the hotel gets better and better!

A good hotel for a business trip to Zhangjigang.
The breakfast has a good standard. Fresh fruits, Chinese noodles, eggs to customers choice and many more is offered. A small gym let you train a bit (could be bigger!). The restaurant is opened till 10:30pm and provides some tasty snacks when the work day lasts a bit longer and the nearby restaurants in the shopping mall are already closed. The Starbucks in the mall opens at 06:30 and is just a 7 minutes walk away.

Finally, I have a small suggestion for improvement, that is, it is recommended that the room include a large non-woven or plastic bag like other hotels, on which the hotel name can be printed, so that it is convenient for travelers to pack dirty clothes, and it can also play a promotional role. Because I am a gold member of InterContinental, I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdong when passing through Zhangjiagang during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. Overall, I was very satisfied. The day of check-in was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the location was not close to tourist attractions, so there were not many guests that night. The car could be parked in the inner courtyard behind the hotel. The space was very empty. It would be better if it could be equipped with charging piles (I took a tram). The hotel's service level has maintained the high standards of the Intercontinental Group. Children's toiletries and evening restaurant snack experience coupons are provided to the children when they check in. In addition, the lobby is also equipped with toys and chess and cards that children like, and the front desk also provides fruits before leaving. Overall, It is said that it is the most satisfactory among the many Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed at. I will choose it again next time I pass by.

GGuest UserThe location is not too close to the train station but I had to visit a factory in the new development zone so it was perfect!! It is a brand new hotel, everything in top shape and service was excellent.
The staff went the extra mile to make it memorable, even the bed was decorated, plus the breakfast was included and it was superb.

The most important thing is that the front desk staff Xiaoyue and Xiaomei have very good service attitudes, are very enthusiastic, and are very dedicated. They are impressive. The boss must give them more salary and bonuses because there are too few such employees. To be honest, I want to recruit them to work in my company with a monthly salary of 10,000 yuan. GghmhappyThe room is large, but since it is an old hotel, the bathroom is small and smells a bit. Breakfast is a specialty of Jinling. It is very rich. The noodle stalls include fried fish and braised meat, and the cold dishes include beef and jellyfish. Although it is the Spring Festival, since Zhangjiagang is not a popular city, the hotel does not increase the price. There is welcome fruit every day, 2 bottles of drinks in the small refrigerator are free, and 2 bottles of homemade yogurt are given as a gift on the day of check-out. The service attitude is very good and the hotel is very cost-effective. It should be noted that the height limit of underground garages is 1.6.

Good value for money, provides everything you need for a short trip if you will be out of the hotel and travelling during the day.

I have stayed in so many hotels, and this design is rare and considerate. I rented a bicycle from the hotel and took a walk around the nearby wetland. The breakfast is also rich. I will stay here again next time.
