2-Star Hotels in Zermatt

I was there for just one night but absolutely loved my stay. I was a bit skeptical at first as it was a shared bathroom but it was always squeaky clean. The location is a winner. I could see the Matterhorn from my balcony. The station is just a short walk away. The rooms are super cosy and comfortable.

Great hostel with morning Matterhorn view from our room. Delicious breakfast provided. Only that u have to arrive earlier before 7pm if planning to get a free bus ride to the hostel. Unfortunate for us, we arrive late after 10pm and no more bus available. Thus have to pull our big luggage up hill in 1km distance. But staff is good, we informed for late arrival then they pasted our envelope containing room card access infront of the door. Thanks for that. Then we asked the counter staff for bus schedule next day. Nearest bus station is Luchre, just in front of hotel. can get schedule from SBB apps (Zermat bahnof- Luchre). They also provide free luggage storage after checkout. Great experience in Zermatt and recommended hostel as long as u arrive early 😀

Close to the top of the mountain glacier cable car, free breakfast, after check-out, you can store things to ski after snow, the rooftop can see the Matterhorn Rizhao Jinshan, very good

Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel based on reviews but it was a good stay!! Great value for Zermatt! Walking distance about 10 mins from Zermatt station, on shopping street. Toilets and stairway up a bit small but ok for us. Luckily we were located on first floor so didn’t have to climb up too many stairs with our luggage. There’s a pizzeria below. Things to note: didn’t see a bin ( only a small one in toilet) so maybe bring your own plastic bag for a bin as well as room slippers. Place was clean! However there’s some loud music that played even in the wee hours of the night like 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you might need to put on some ear plugs to muffle the noise out. Nonetheless, A huge thank you for the stay. Convenient, Breakfast was awesome, simple spread but very heartwarming and the coffee was the most delicious I’ve had. It was the Easter weekend so there’s pretty Easter eggs for breakfast too! The lady owner was lovely and check in and check out was very easy and seamless. We stayed for a night and would recommend this place.

Hotel manager service is very good. Breakfast is also very good, the service location that does not provide lunch or dinner is also convenient, there is an underground parking garage.

It is convenient because it is close to the bus stop of the circulation bus. Walking is no big deal. Google Maps recommends stairs, so if you ignore it and go along the river to the Japanese bridge, there is an elevator, which is convenient. The reception is easy here, there is no one at the reception so let's call out in a loud voice. The room is clean. Is there a little more for breakfast? Did you go to two observation decks in Zermatt?

Very amazed by the level of automation in the hotel! Check-in was seamless even though it was just an iPad. We needed to pay a tourist tax via an online link prior to arrival but we were abit wary given the number of online scams nowadays - perhaps it’ll be better to charge everything up front? There was free coffee available as well, which was a huge plus. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, sufficiently big, had a balcony, comfortable bed. One of the staff (a guy) allowed us to put our luggage in the room early even though we could only encode our card after 3pm. He even helped us make a reservation at Du Pont as we didn’t have a Swiss number, thanks very much! The hotel is a 10min walk from the main train station, though there are free buses which can shorten the journey. We just walked as it was faster. We were in Swiss for 2 weeks and this hotel is definitely the best accommodation we had - for a very good price as well!

overall assessment was good, the apartment was comfortable. A definite downside (sometimes annoying) was the lack of curtains in the bedroom !!! Difficult access with luggage at the end of the road to the facility Positive scenic values
