the quad room is perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids.
breakfast is superb and staffs friendly
we stayed 3 nights and were luckily blessed with 1 day of clear whether at the top of the mountains.
2 ways to walk to the hotel from train station, the shorter one that google will tell u includes a steep climb (difficult if you have luggages in tow).
the easier and better walk will just be to keep going straight, turn left at the matterhon musuem / church junction, and from there just a short gradual stretch to reach the hotel. very doable even with kids and luggage .

Access from Zermatt station requires climbing a steep hill, so dragging a large suitcase was a bit of a challenge. The staff were kind and flexible with early morning check-out. The room was very spacious and clean, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The only amenities were body soap, but I brought my own shampoo and other items, so it wasn't a problem. The water pressure in the shower was also fine. I had a very comfortable stay. If I had more time, I would have liked to stay longer.

I really recommend this place. This is one of the cheapest hotels in Zermatt. On the rooftop floor, there are windows on the ceiling. You can see a crazy view through the window.

The Hotel Basecamp is in a great location and offers everything you need for your stay in Zermatt.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast couldn't be better and the rooms are very well furnished.

The room is clean and well-equipped, but the location is a bit remote. You have to walk a long way from the train station and climb a hill. Carrying a big suitcase is a bit difficult.
