Zermatt is one of our favorite places to ski and we visit it almost every year. We were given a bad impression in past years when a photo shows a room or apartment with a view of the Matterhorn, but in reality they accommodate us in a room on the same level but with a view of the close opposite house. This is the first time that this hotel has not had such misleading advertising. The apartment we stayed in was wonderful. Extremely clean and with all the amenities like 5 stars hotel. The owners are an extremely nice family who also have a restaurant downstairs. The food offered is in the typical home style, you don't feel like you're in a restaurant, but rather a guest in their home. It wasn't described anywhere, but we received fruit, juice, milk, a coffee machine and espresso capsules as a compliment and last but not least a daily breakfast, which was again a very kind compliment from them. The hotel is in an extremely convenient location, meters from the bus stop that took us to the lift in the morning. We would certainly be happy to stay there again.

We stumbled upon this restaurant as it was the only bookable restaurant in Zermatt on OpenTable on a very short notice. What a gem! We are two spoiled foodies from London and did not expect too much but the food is 10/10! We’ve had the beetroot / cheese starter, seabass, pork belly, lobster and lamb chops (best one I’ve had in my life) and vanilla ice cream and cheese cake for dessert. The service is friendly and the vibe is relaxed and family friendly. The wine selection is excellent (and surprisingly very affordable). Price wise we paid the same as in other restaurants in the area for much much better food. We actually decided to come back for 3 nights in a row as we enjoyed it so much. One piece of advice: we always took our jackets to our table as we saw some diners struggling to find their jackets in the busy cloak room again after dining. Would highly recommend.

Terrible experience, we would have expected a bit more of class and respect from the people that serve at the Terrasse. They were rude, non-polite and with no affinity with tourists, while actually they get their income because of us. Honestly they have a great location and fantastic view to the Matterhorn and food is nice however their rude treatment and racist arrogant behavior leave a very bad impression of the country , tisis the last time i bring my friends to this place. If you can, choose another restaurant! There are plenty with nice view and more intelligent people.
