I have been to Zermatt many times, and this is my first time staying at this hotel. If you bring your children with you, you still need to pay even if you don't use an extra bed, and it's not low. I called to inquire before coming, and the staff said that if you don't add an extra bed, there is no charge. Obviously, there is no uniformity within the hotel, or it depends on the person.
