DO NOT GO over 4th of July weekend unless you’re 21-22 years old. The beach is totally blocked off for a beach party and not usable for the paying guests of the resort. You’ll have to pass through Zephyr Cove gestapo/TSA just to access the beach with your wristband. Great spot other than that.

Okay, so we’re not RV experts—but this place? Not it. Why, you ask? Let’s start with the fact that the campsites are literally stacked on top of each other. Zero privacy. Add in the constant road noise, and you’ve got yourself a front-row seat to highway hell. Every site is uneven (hope you like sleeping on a slant), and the picnic tables? Pretty sure they’re set at a 30-degree angle just to mess with you. The showers were dirty, and only three out of five dryers worked—but don’t expect a heads-up. No “Out of Order” signs, just a fun guessing game. Oh, and if you need propane? Good luck. No staff anywhere to be found. Honestly, I wish we had booked at Richardson—it has a way better vibe than this glorified incline parking lot. The one positive? The other guests were respectful and kept it quiet after 10pm. So at least you’ll suffer in peace.

We stayed for 2 days in site #192. We were up the hill, close to the walk in tent sites. The 2nd night we were there, there were multiple alerts from campers that bears were approaching their camp sites. Several people seemed to have been scared enough to leave their sites that night, not sure if they came back? The sheriff department had to be dispatched twice that night because of the bear activity. The 2nd time was when I had to call 911 because a bear was coming next to our trailer and knocking miscellaneous junk out of a golf cart at the site next to us. Apparently this site was an employees trailer? Not a problem I guess, if you don't mind bears finding it to be a picnic basket. Kind of frightening to hear the bear walking around our trailer; for sure! My family and I are seasoned campers and know very well how we should secure our campsite to prevent bears from roaming around. Because there is obviously a bear problem there, each site should have a "bear box" to secure their food & toiletry items in to help prevent this. There also should be warnings and rules provided to each guests when they check in on what they need to do to prevent bear visits and break ins. Above all, your employees should not be storing stuff outside of there trailer residence that would attract bears. The bathrooms were never cleaned in the two days we stayed there. I find this unacceptable, especially at the prices your customers are paying to stay there.

We are at the campground. We are not at all pleased. We are in site 104. So first I will say it's a really pretty campground and Lake Tahoe is beautiful. All we need to do is to cross the street to go to the lake. But... We have a 35 ft RV. When we booked this place on recreation.gov we put in all that information. When we got here site 104 is not only on the main drag and very noisy but it was beyond imagining difficult to back into the site. We got up and personal with one of the trees fortunately didn't do any damage to our rig. It took two men they were staying across from us to help us back in. The trees are at a terrible angle as is the campsite. We talked to our neighbors and they have a small class c even they said it was difficult to back into. So we'll see how it goes from here.

Zephyr Cove’s campground is beautiful. It is well maintained and a serene landscape across highway 50 (there’s a crosswalk) from Lake Tahoe. We stayed as a stop in a cross county road trip from Florida to Oregon. The cost was reasonable, check-in was easy, & the walk to the lake is short & easy. The noise levels are pretty high in the evening from the RV crowd, but it didn’t keep us awake. The drive up sites, where we stayed, have a picnic table, fire ring, large bear box, driveway and a tent pad (not paved, but flat). We will be returning when we have more time to enjoy the surroundings and the lake!

We recently stayed here and it was fantastic. I must say though, you ought to get a spot in the back with the road right there. However the grounds are really nice and the restrooms are large and clean. Walking distance to the lake was amazing and the lodge staff were kind and very accommodating. Can’t wait to get back here.

My recent stay at a zephyr cove cabin for a group of 7 left much to be desired. Despite booking for 7 people, the cabin only provided bedding for 5, which meant we were without sheets and blankets for the sofa beds. This oversight created significant discomfort as we had to pull sheets from existing beds to make do for the night. Our arrival was after hours, and both the front desk and housekeeping were closed. When we reached out to the security guard for assistance, his response was incredibly disappointing. He was not only unhelpful but also quite rude, claiming that providing extra blankets was not his responsibility and advising us to wait until morning. This lack of customer service left a sour taste in our mouths. Adding to our frustration, there was no Wi-Fi available on the property, and the 5G network signal was notably weak. This lack of connectivity in today's connected world was a significant drawback, especially when trying to plan activities In summary, our stay at this Lake Tahoe cabin was marred by inadequate bedding, unhelpful and rude staff, and a lack of Wi-Fi. These issues significantly impacted our experience negatively, and we hope that the management can address these shortcomings to ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable stay for future guests.

I stayed in a cabin that was walking distance to the beach, which was wonderful. The girls who checked me in were super nice and knowledgeable. The shower in my cabin was dirty and there were small holes in the wall. The bed linens were dirty. The kitchen was small but functional. For what I paid I expected to at least have a clean bathroom and sheets. I probably won’t come back.
