Superior Hotel Tirolerhof - Zell am See

This was our 5th visit to this superb family run hotel. A few minutes stroll from the lake at the base of the Schmittenhohe mountain. Friendly and magnificent in its presentation with outstanding food and service. The free bus services to the cable car Bahn and to Kaprun for the wonderful 3k connection to Kitzsteinhorn, highest point in Salzburg region is a breeze. We have always driven from the UK and have had a parking space in the garage. We took the train to Salzburg for the day, at only €19 return per couple it's a really worthwhile and picturesque journey. You will not feel more comfortable anywhere else in the world than the Tirelerhof.

Hotel Tirolerhof is a lovely, cosy and comfortable hotel, wonderfully managed. Hotel staff and restaurant staff and are very friendly and run a very efficient service. Food and buffets's are plentiful and are of excellent quality. All the facilities where super. We were very well looked after and shall definitely return. Thank you Tirolerhof.

My girlfriend and I booked this beautiful hotel in Zell Am See for a ski holiday! From the off, the hotel was fantastic, from the most beautiful interior/exterior and attentive/welcoming staff. We were initially greeted with a welcome Prosecco as our room was just being finished. We arrived three hours prior to our check in time so didn’t mind waiting a little. We were half board and so had breakfast and dinner included. All the food was fantastic. Breakfast was filled with different choices from continental, an egg station where the chef would make omelettes or different eggs, bread and bacon/sausages as well as cold breakfasts like fruit, pastries and cereals. Dinner was a four course meal where you could make your choices at breakfast and there was a great variety. The lamb and the veal were delicious. The bar was a beautiful cosy area with a roaring fire and you were made to feel at home. For our room, we chose the most basic option which for us was perfect. It had a large bed, a sofa, a seperate chair and a nice big TV. Bathroom was again, lovely, shower/bath and plenty of space. Hotel was about a 1 or 2 minute walk to the main town where there are plenty of bars and shops. The sauna and pool area again was fantastic, four different sauna/steam room options and a lovely indoor pool with a few jacuzzi areas. We used the boot room as well and had heated boot facilities so our boots were always dry the following day. Overall, a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Hotel Tirolerhof with family/friends and recommend to anyone! Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, you really made our week!

We returned home at the weekend following a great week at this hotel. This was our second visit and standards were just as high. Its a beautiful hotel, classy without being stuffy, and attracts really interesting and friendly people. We both had massages which were great and the pool area is lovely. One of the best things about this hotel is its staff who are obviously highly valued and subsequently very happy in what they're doing which rubs off on everyone. The food was great and Claudio and Julio made each meal a special occasion. We will return.

As you would anticipate from a four star hotel, it is a lovely hotel. The pros: Always clean, and all of the staff team are both helpful and genuinely friendly. Menus are varied and presented to a good standard although portions are perhaps conservative after an energetic day on the mountain. Located quietly but close enough ( ＜10mins walk) to the Bus area and City lift. Our room was extremely comfortable with a nice bathroom, amenities and really decent storage. The cons: Spa area is posted as textile free (as is usual for Austria) but unfortunately many guests ignored this, making it uncomfortable for those who follow the local practices. Ski locker room was a bit narrow (for busy times) although the roomcard operated locker system was excellent. In summary, I would happily return.

The hotel is in the centre of Zell making access to shops, cafes etc. and also ski rental shops and the Ciyxpress cable car. All areas of the hotel are immaculately clean and all staff extremely helpful. Food is excellent and wide ranging. The leisure facilities are first class. All in all it is a very comfortable hotel.
