Ski trip. Through Crystal Ski. Read reviews before booking ..... pretty mixed. No need to worry. LOVELY hotel, rooms spacious and clean, breakfast great, plenty of choice from: bacon, eggs, hams, cheeses, fruit, breads, cereal, yoghurt, juices and hot drinks. Vast choice and perfect to set you up for skiing. Hosts lovely. Very friendly but not overbearing. You MUST book an evening meal - good value compared to other local restaurants - but MUCH nicer (gastro chef onsite) - prawn linguine pasta / Thai green curry- must try. Lovely. Great location - ignore the 'train noise' - we were on the front (amazing view) and it never bothered or woke us - in fact it made the week better - the trains were clean and quiet and a talking point. We've skied for 20 years, all over Europe, and only a few places we'd go back to - this is one. Ah, plus the skiing - Sell am See, Saalbach Hinterglem both great, plus Kaprun - definitely go to Kaprun for 3 from 6 days - high altitude at 3k metres - great conditions and runs. All in all - 10/10. Thank you Seehof.

A beautiful little family hotel.Rooms have either a view of lake and mountains or pretty church and mountains,we loved listening to the church bells.It's very central, train and bus station close by as are shops and restaurants.Billa is a very good supermarket in the centre.It's a short walk or short bus ride to the ski slopes.Salzburg is not far for a day trip and there are other interesting little towns worth a visit.This year we could only have bed and breakfast but we are looking forward to half board next year which we've had on a previous stay.Breakfast choice is plentiful and delicious, Continental,also some hot food.The one and only problem was the bath/shower,it was very slippery and needed a non slip mat.There were 2 children in our group and the staff were excellent with them as well as the adults, always helpful and friendly.Already looking forward to next year.

Stopped here for a weeks skiing, brilliant base for Zell and Kaprun. The hotel is spotless and run fantastic by the owners. The breakfast with a view over the lake is great and only a short walk into town. The bar and restaurant area is also well run and very welcoming. I would definitely stop again and recommend to friends and family.

Highly recommend this hotel, we stayed for a week on a family ski trip. The hotel is central and well equipped, breakfast is great, rooms comfortable with incredible lake views. The team are helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel restaurant also serves wonderful food in the evening.

This is a superb hotel, a real gem. Just returned from a week family skiing trip. The hotel is privately owned and run and this makes it so special. The personal touches and attention to detail really makes a difference. The whole team are friendly, attentive and fun. Our rooms were welcoming, clean and warm with great views of the lake. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice, nicely presented with great service. Dinner is great home cooked, tasty and nicely presented in a great atmosphere, with plenty our choice, served by a fun and friendly team. The location is great everything in the town is in walking distance and the ski runs are minutes away. There is nothing I can fault about this hotel and the team which run it. It is not a 5 star luxury boutique hotel, but it is a hotel with soul and charm and is 5 star in service and welcome. Thanks for a wonderful week. I would highly recommend and we will return.

Beautiful hotel. Very friendly staff. Upgraded to a room with a balcony free of charge. We were at the back of the hotel, aware of train and church bells only during waking hours. But did not impact our sleep at all. Excellent breakfast choice. Close to ski slope for city express. Very clean.

Spent last week here on a snowboard trip. Perfectly located for the town amenities and is a short walk to the express lift and the train station for the ski bus to either kaprun/saalbach. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and it was a great choice for us to stay. If came back to the area I'd definitely stay again. The views over the lake for breakfast were magnificent

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful position on the lake. Great hosts with excellent breakfast buffet and an opportunity for al a carte menu for evening meal Rooms are perfect Highly recommend Zell has a lit to offer the beginner and intermediate skier
