Pros- really, really friendly lovely staff. Clean hotel. Room cleaned daily. Handy little fridge in room. Safe also. Large room. Spa was nice ( 3 small saunas, jacuzzi etc). Close to everything - number 71 bus to get to slopes. Also close to Brundle sports to collect ski gear daily and drop off. We did this each day rather than walk it in ski boots. Negatives- This hotel is right in the centre (as is in the name) therefore very noisy. This meant no sleep some nights with people singing, shouting from pubs outside your window often up until 5.00 a.m. The pub opposite luckily seemed to shut early from Monday to Thursday which allowed better sleep but doesnt stop people walking past talking at top of their voices drunk. I get there is Apre ski, but no sleep is hard when your up early to ski. ( we didnt hear people insude the hotel though which was good). Everyone has their own taste, but we personally didnt find the food was that good -it felt they were keeping to a budget- small portions with barely any vegetables and no salad. Breakfast was the same daily- limited but a nice amount of fruit and rolls. The usual Ham and cheese, scrambled/boiled eggs and bacon. The hotel has a more varied menu for people off the street eating in evening here - pity that wasnt on offer for hotel guests too. There are daily/weekly activities - ( inc yoga, ski instruction, cold water bathing etc) all at the sister hotel the Alpenblick which is about 25 minute walk away or a walk to a bus and bus trip. Would rather have option from the hotel were staying in as more convenient. If you want a quieter hotel, you will need to stay up the hill on route to the gondolas and walk down to the restaurants, shops, pubs or get a bus- all buses seem to stop at 8.30p.m.
