This is was my third visit. One of the many great things (maybe the best) is the view over the waterhole. When we arrived we had lunch and from the deck we saw impalas, wildebeast, a buffalo, three rino's and many elephants. I brought my adult children and had to explain that it is not normal that you see so many animals all together. Alle day long, animals come to drink or play (baby elephants) the water. All large rooms (chalets) look out over the waterhole and have an outdoor shower. The staff is amazing and super friendly and the food plenty and delicious. I requested ranger Herman again and he really goes out of his way to find animals we did not see yet like lions and wild dogs. He even spotted an African Wild Cat on a mountain side using the flashlight at night. We also enjoyed the pool with bush view. Tau is a larger lodge and offers excellent value for money if you want a malaria free safari.

We recently stayed at Tau Game Lodge for a family holiday. We had a fantastic experience. we were welcomed by friendly staff and introduced to our lovely guide Lizzy. we saw the Big 5 and Magnificent 7 all up close and personal. i loved the position on the river watching animals come and go and our family chalet was on the water hole too. we had a big storm that filled up the river/watering hole and we saw even more animals wander down for a drink directly from our balcony. the food was amazing. We are both gluten-free, and the chefs made a huge effort to give us so many different choices. the wine list was great too. we were there for New Year's, and they threw a big surprise party. Highly recommend this experience.

Excellent service, attentive staff, best ranger we had (he looked after us very well), food & drink is very good snd sufficient. Very good massages at SPA. The lodge is a luxury class, but there are points deducted for location (garden design, pool design and bathroom. Improvements would be desirable here to justify the price.

Tau never disappoints. The staff there brings us back over and over. The animals are a bonus! We love the insight and excitement the rangers bring to each drive. the inhouse staff serves with kindness, care and smiles. No need to consider any other lodge in Madikwe!

After watching the live feed at Tau for many months at home we finally visited for three nights. The game viewing from our room the family suite was incredible. We saw many elephants,zebras,wildebeest, impala,kudu,warthogs and many more animals right from our lodge. We enjoyed many hours sitting and watching the animals at the waterhole. The management team were excellent and everyone was so friendly. The food was wonderful and the chef made me gluten free food at every meal. Our ranger Herman was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had some incredible sightings and seen so many animals from the big 5, wild dogs,elephants,Impala, giraffe and many more. We saw a pride of lions and a cub on a hunt for wildebeest. Thanks to everyone at Tau for a wonderful stay

Tau Lodge is the place to go in South Africa. From your deck watching the animals come and go to the watering hole is so relaxing. I like how staff at the camp have so much respect for the animals, not overwhelming them with too many vehicles at one time. The rooms were perfect. Was not sure about the outdoor shower but really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, varied and plentiful. Really liked the “Bush Dinner” experience. Would highly recommend this lodge.

Overall excellent. Game viewing and ranger wonderful. Located in lovely spot. overlooking a large water area, so game constantly coming to drink. Staff are well trained and fabulous. Food good and different dinner venues added interest to the stay. Cleanliness and bed excellent. I thought the bathrooms were getting a bit tired.
