Cute boutique hotel with amazing staff! Great location to walk around and explore Stone town with a 3-minute walk to the beach.
Food was amazing. Get the lobster ravioli. So good! Compliments to the chef! The room was beautiful.
If you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the lower floors as it is a 3-floor walkup to other rooms. No elevator available.

The location is good. I originally booked two double rooms, but I brought one more child, so I had to pay for one more person. I couldn't use the breakfast because I had an early flight, and it didn't make any difference to have one more person. Fortunately, Ctrip coordinated it, and there was no charge, and I was given a room for three people.

This is a truly 5 star experience from start to finish. Spotlessly clean small but spacious hotel with fabulous staff on hand to take care of everything required. Fantastic roof top bar and restaurant and all of this right in the heart of bustling Stone town. Breakfast menu has multiple great healthy dining options. The only down side is the 'open plan' bedroom and ensuite layout which to be fair is down to personal taste!

We had a short but oh so lovely stay at Neela! This hotel has an extremely high standard. The staff made us feel very welcome and taken care of, from the moment we arrived until we left. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We had dinner at the roof top restaurant, and were very pleased with the food and drinks - the caesar salad with truffle as well as the catch of the day were amazing. The breakfast was delicious as well! If you are staying in stonetown, I can highly recommend Neela.

Our stay was fantastic! The whole staff at Neela were incredibly welcoming and looked after all of our needs. The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable. Rooms are modern with great AC and artwork and a very comfortable bed. Don’t miss the charming rooftop with craft cocktails and fantastic food (fusion European, Indian, Swahili). The staff also managed our airport transports, Stone Town tour, and an amazing boat trip to two small islands. Breakfast was also excellent with much-needed freshly brewed coffee and various a la carte items. The croissant that comes with every dish was one of my favorites ever.

This is the most picturesque hotel in which I have ever stayed! It really is a beautiful space. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The food (breakfast...my favorite meal) was excellent every morning. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. I am a stickler for a comfortable bed and it was perfect for me. I still have fond memories of the fragrance of the body wash and body lotion provided in the rooms. This is a true 5/5 stay for me. If you're interested, book it.

I had the most unforgettable stay at the truly 5 star Neela Boutique Hotel in Stone Town. From the moment I arrived, Ayubu and Hossein were amazing and took care of us with such genuine hospitality, making us feel at home right away. The hotel is centrally located, making it incredibly easy to explore all the points of interest in Stone Town, from historical sites to the bustling markets. The architecture is breathtaking, blending traditional Zanzibari charm with modern elegance. Each room is a work of art, with meticulous attention to detail that makes every space feel luxurious and unique. The rooftop terrace was the highlight of our stay, where we enjoyed an incredible dinner with stunning views of the city and the Indian Ocean. The atmosphere was magical, and the food was nothing short of spectacular.I can’t recommend Neela Boutique Hotel enough – from the impeccable service to the beautiful design and ideal location, it’s truly a gem in the heart of Stone Town. A perfect place to experience luxury while soaking in the rich history of Zanzibar!

Pros: • Excellent location with easy access to major tourist spots in Stone Town. • Clean and aesthetically pleasing hotel. • Super friendly staff. • The food at the hotel’s restaurant is phenomenal. • Clean and spacious rooms. Cons: • The bathroom and room have only a partial separation with no door, resulting in zero privacy. Additionally, the bathroom lacks ventilation. - No elevator. Our stay would have been an easy 10/10 if not for the bathroom, which was significantly inconvenient.

The bed and pillows were the most comfortable part of the stay. The coffees that were brought every morning were the best way to start the day. The shower, bath tub and all amenities were immaculate condition and the hot shower was amazing after the windy and rain filled day. The breakfast was ultra luxurious and it made everything all the more worth it.
