The hotel is located in a small alley but has a relatively large building with multiple floors. The atmosphere features an old-style building. The breakfast is excellent, and booking a stay with dinner included would be even better. However, it might be a bit noisy since it's in the city.

Cute boutique hotel with amazing staff! Great location to walk around and explore Stone town with a 3-minute walk to the beach.
Food was amazing. Get the lobster ravioli. So good! Compliments to the chef! The room was beautiful.
If you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the lower floors as it is a 3-floor walkup to other rooms. No elevator available.

The location is right in the city, by the sea. The seafood pier, square barbecue, and night market are all within a few minutes' walk. The room is exquisite and tidy, the decoration style is very unique, and it is beautiful for taking pictures. They also provide takeaway bath towels for swimming, and the rattan basket is very suitable for taking pictures. The hotel breakfast must be mentioned. All the Western food is freshly baked and cooked. It is more delicious than the Western restaurant. The hot Western food finally doesn't feel so cold. I love it.

The location is good. I originally booked two double rooms, but I brought one more child, so I had to pay for one more person. I couldn't use the breakfast because I had an early flight, and it didn't make any difference to have one more person. Fortunately, Ctrip coordinated it, and there was no charge, and I was given a room for three people.

Neela was one of a kind!! This was the first stop on our honeymoon. Peeli met us with such a welcoming smile and immediately relaxed us. It’s tucked away, like many hotels in Stone Town But once you find it you quickly are glad you’re “home”. We arrived late one night and the huge front door was locked but one knock was answered quickly. We liked they ensure their guests safety at night. The rooftop bar and lounge area was sexy. Elizabeth and the staff at rooftop was charming and experienced. Peeli arranged a spice farm tour with a cooking lesson! The bedroom was very nice, with welcoming snacks, water and local beer. If you want entertainment and shopping it’s a short walk away. This boutique hotel is special. Asante Sana 👏🏾

The hotel captured the unique beauty of Zanzibar and hospitality of Tanzanian people, food was delicious, service impeccable, location perfect. We had a restful stay in Neela Boutique hotel to enjoy the Stonetown before moving to a beach hotel and then flying to Arusha for a safari.

Our first time visiting with a group of #15. We enjoyed the hospitality and every dish was excellent. We were able to all sit together to enjoy the cocktails and food. A huge shout out to Chef Jay he came up to meet our group. A wonderful atmosphere and we all will remember our exceptional service.

Located in central of Stone Town. We needed 5 minutes by foot to the beach. Great breakfast, one of the best we had in Africa. We also had dinner at the rooftop redtaurant of the hotel, which was also very good. The room was nice, with climatisation and everything needed.
