Winzelle Suites

The hotel is located in a busy city, shopping and eating is convenient. A bit far from the airport. You can take 70 pesos on a tricycle. I didn't have a peso at the time. The police uncle helped me with the tricycle driver and spent a dollar to the hotel. The front desk service was not bad, and the room given was not listed online. The guard led to the nearby building. There was no window in the room, and it was requested to change the window. It took an hour to get it. The room is very spacious, the health is not bad, the building is very old. The shower is a family-style electric shower. It is equivalent to the level of hotel guest houses in China. The noise outside the window is too loud. The cars that run are jeepnets or trucks. The population density of Zamboanga is too high, and it is estimated that there will be no quiet hotel wherever you live.
Ever O Business Hotel

The hotel is strategically located in the city center. Food is okay and better compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Zamboanga. Staff were helpful. Rooms were also better than other hotels we stayed at in the city. I think the best feature is the internet, which is more reliably and speedy than other hotels and which was important to us because we needed it for our work. Only thing I noticed is the noise that carries into the room. Hotel should monitor and advise staff and guests regarding this if they can't sound-proof rooms. Definitely considering to stay here again the next time we are in Zamboanga.
Marcian Garden Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel many times, but each time I experience more and more problems. The restaurant is in the centre well of the hotel and is incredibly noisy. Marcian caters for seminars & conventions and are the cheapest around. So there are few individual tables , mostly long 6-8 ones to cater for the attendees. Also if one is a foreigner the breakfast is appalling. For a start to cater for a select minority they do not serve bacon or pork, nor do they serve wine or spirits. The staff are great and most helpful. The rooms are fine and the housekeeping excellent. The rain shower in the room was more like a drizzle, either stone cold or boiling hot. If one needs internet this place is a disaster, the IT manager tried many times to connect us, but explained it was PLDT that was the problem, even my Globe prepaid Internet would not load. When I was able to connect I was told PLDT will not allow the hotel to use a VPN. It seems this is some form of imposed censorship on customers.
Grand Astoria Hotel

Been reading some not so good comment on this hotel, but still giving it a try as most hotel are full that time. The side of hotel has a new extension under construction. During check in, I was given a small room, this is comparing the same amount paid in the same period of time but in a different hotel, I happen to have a friend who are staying in EverO. My room was incomparable with him. Not much of comment on the breakfast, not liking it as many people are like snatching food from the buffet, which i can only take what's leftover. LOL I did not expect much from the breakfast though but my colleague was eating rice with egg alone as there are no other options. The room is indeed dusty, floor are sticky, and without complimentary water in the room but they gave you two glass. There's a TV mounted on the ceiling without remote control. The bathroom is with general toiletries like soap, toothbrush and shampoo which I only use the toothbrush set. Show was the best experience as the water does not go straight to you, pressure was low. The next day after room cleaning, they put two tiny bar of soap on my bed, it is unwrapped, is it really this cost savings? I am paying P2000.00 plus a night for this room. I thought I was biased until i saw my client who are staying in the same hotel and with the same comment, we both laugh. hahahaha...!! There are better. Staff are helpful, at least some are. Forgot the lift, hahaha... i see people walking down from 8th floor convention.

Hotel Primera

Our original booking was for January 2023 but due to thunderstorm and flood in zamboanga we cancelled our trip and requested to move it, for the 2nd time request of booking modification hotel still allowed us to rebook even though booking policy is non changeable and non refundable ❤️ The hotel is walking distance to canelar barter which great and walking distance to family fried chicken to grab delicious dinner. Bed is comfortable and new but the restroom needs to be repaired or should be well maintained. There is no room decoration such as painting or even lampshade to make it cozy 😅 TV has cable but bad reception, wifi - is I think a must in a hotel they have it but very weak and unstable in room. For breakfast, they serve it plated and only one menu per breakfast. I think they should have selectiona for those picky eaters. When you book with trip.com they wouldn't see your booking as booked by trip. Com you may ask them to check expedia booking For it's price exterior, location and bed is better compared to the other hotels in the area but maybe next time we'll try the other hotels with better amenities 😊❤️
