The hotel is a bit remote and there are no restaurants or attractions nearby Every time I have to take a ride out to another place Breakfast can also be quite a choice The restaurant at noon is a bit slow. The charging head of the room has been loose for a long time. you ca n't blow your head. It’s okay to take pictures, but the level is not up to five stars.

Overall facilities are good. However, the tourism consulting services provided by the hotel are lacking: I stayed for 4 days and the weather was bad, rainy and windy, and the boats out of the hotel were suspended. The hotel only provided their own services. When asked if there were restaurants or other nearby, they didn't know/or didn't tell. I can only stay in Shadian for 4 days. Actually, it’s not the case. On the last day, there were many restaurants and travel-related sea tours, including horse ride, car tour, jet tour, etc., just 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel. It was very lively.

We have been to Kalamaki many times over the years, and have walked passed the Athina Apartments on our visits, so we took the plunge and booked to stay here for 9 nights from the 8th September. The apartments are ideally located. They literally back onto the main ***** in Kalamaki, and are a few minutes walk from the main Kalamaki beach. We stayed in a top floor room, overlooking the pool. The view was great, and lovelly to wake up to in the morning or to enjoy of an evening before venturing out. Because we faced away from the main *****, we did not hear it at all. The rooms are basic, and could do with a little spruce up, but they are clean and comfortable, so that's what is most important. If you are looking to cook in the room, the cooking facilities consist of 2 hot rings and that's it. There is no oven or even a microwave. So you may struggle. But if like us, the only thing we cooked in the room was some toast for breakfast (yes there is a toaster and a kettle) then its fine. The pool area has been recently installed / renovated. Its is a lovely area, however during our entire stay, we did not see any member of staff tidy up the area at all, not even straighten the sun beds at the end of the day. When we had finished using the beds, we always tidied up after ourselves, and straighten the beds up etc, but not everyone did. So the pool area tends to look very untidy at the end of the day, which is such a shame, as it looks very tranquil in the evening, so it would be nice if it looked neat too :-) There is no lift in the hotel, so if you have struggle walking up flights of stairs, we would suggest opting for a ground floor apartment. However these do open up right onto the pool area so privacy will be a factor. The staff were great, and were always at hand should you need them. Would we stay again? Of course we would! In fact we have already booked to return again next September!!

Don't take part in a day trip to the hotel. It's a very boring sixty euros for a person, a child for 40, a strong hotel for 65 euros a day, a car rental is only forty or fifty euros driving, is the most correct choice, I do Airport bus to the bus station, walk to the hotel 1.8 Euro. Blue hole plus Shipwreck Bay 20 Euro per person, children free. It is worth going to go to Greece, Zhaji is a must, it is beautiful. Ctrip is a very responsible booking network, the price is the cheapest, no matter what other international reservations are booked.

A Lovely Greek Family Independent Hotel, which Does Not have Tennis (or Crazy Golf) ! I will write this from the perspective of someone not expecting to play a few sets of tennis in the morning (misdescription of facilities not hotels fault) before a hard day of Rest and Relaxation. It was The Best check in arrival I have ever experienced _ got sat down, watered with welcome drink, and the usual local documentation was dealt with in a relaxed yet attentive way. Due to the room booking pattern we were offered an upgraded room gratis for first few days, if we didn’t mind moving mid week, which worked out great. Hopefully pics attached if I manage it ! The room was very well equipped, spacey and like everything in the hotel, very comfortable. The beds and loungers are the good quality sort where you do not notice you are not in your usual bed, so great _ The owner was around through large parts of the day, now retired, while other family members and the on the ball staff take care of operations. It was very nice to have many short conversations with ever watchful Mr Spiros, a very interesting person to speak with (and very sharp minded, Very Perceptive, and humorous) I noticed on the comprehensive information board a sunset hike trip, with a local guide the hotel recommends. It was fantastic, and many other hikes and walks are available too. I recommend anyone active to take a hiking trip with the hotels recommended guide during their stay. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Cameo Island and it’s famous rope bridge. On the other side of the hotel is the party ***** for the brave, the young and the adventurous. Walking distance, but far enough away you’d never know it was there if you didn’t want to. From talking to locals the ***** is really active June July August, where I gather it can be a bit lively. We took a boat trip around the island, again booked via hotel, with easy collection and transportation to local main harbour. On reflection a shorter trip from the boat hires around Cameo Island may have been enough, rather than the around the entire island. It was 35 euros for the full round island trip, great value for money. When the reception team say ‘we can make you a packed lunch if you’d like’ this actually means ‘you’re three or four hour trip will be 5 or six hours and you will arrive back when service is over’ This is a ’tip’ and it’s well taking up the lunchbox out option if going on a trip, hike, day exploring etc. The food was great, Very Good to Excellent, large choice, dietary considerations, lots of veg and vegan options, lots of labels, a willingness to check ingredients if asked. Top Marks. Staff friendly, warm, welcoming, and very good at matching customer requirements (so formal if guests treated them formally, fun if guests were fun, and always attentive to service) I would go as far as to say there are some special ones. I’m not a big drinker (guess I’ve grown up) but for those that like to ‘indulge’ _t

Just stayed here for 11 nights. I cannot fault the hotel at all. Yes there is a steep hill up to the rooms so if you struggle with mobility take this into account but I saw guests with very poor mobility managing! Breakfast had plenty of choice. Cereal, yogurt, toast, cakes, sliced meats, cheese, sausage, small pastrey's, eggs, juice, coffee etc. There was enough to keep us going until tea time. The room had all we needed - safe, air con, fridge and a lovely comfy bed! It was cleaned every day, beds made and towels changed. Always got a welcoming smile and a good morning from the cleaners. Did use the pool - it was very cold, but so was the sea on some days! Hotel is on a busy main road with no footpath outside but there is room to walk single file and it was only for a couple of minutes. The hotel is located near to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. Not a lot of beach along argassi front but there is a free bus to banana beach (we didn't use this). There is no shortage of car/scooter/quad hire places and there are plenty of places to book your boat trips. I would definitely recommend a stay here - a small, quiet, friendly hotel. My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel. It’s like a little oasis! Our (very spacious) room was tucked away above the spa, where it was very quiet. They kindly gave us a free room upgrade, so we had a huge in-room hot tub which was a nice surprise! And the balcony was the perfect spot for watching the sunset. The pool area was lovely, with comfy loungers/beanbags and lots of greenery. And the QR codes make it easy to order drinks or snacks straight to your sun lounger. The spa was also great, and you can book the pool/sauna for just the two of you, which is a nice touch. We booked half-board and the food was excellent. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, and you can also order a dish from the menu at no extra cost. I was very impressed by the evening buffet. I find that buffet dinners can be hit-and-miss, but everything was delicious, especially the Greek dishes. There was also live music by the bar on a couple of nights, which added a really nice atmosphere. Special shout-out to the evening bartender who made the most fantastic cocktails! We also ate at the Nobile rooftop restaurant one evening. We had the seven-course tasting menu which was very nice, but there was quite a lengthy gap between the courses. We were there over three hours – had we known it would be that long, I think we probably would have booked an earlier table. But it was a great experience nonetheless, and the food was wonderful. The final word goes to go to the staff, who were amazing. The reception team, the porter, the waiting staff, the spa team – everyone was so friendly, smiley, and couldn’t do enough for you. I’d definitely recommend Contessina Suites for a chilled-out break; we had the best time.

This is a wonderful hotel. It has the best location in zakynthos town. I received a room with a balcony overlooking the port, and it was amazing! The staff is also incredible—thank you Natasha for your wonderful concierge service! The breakfast is beyond delicious, and the rooftop bar has unforgettable views of the town. I have seen some reviews mentioning the rooms needing renovation; I felt very comfortable and please keep in mind this is an island in greece, not Manhattan. It’s a top pick for Zante town.

The hotel is on the hill. There is a shuttle bus to the town and the beach, but it depends on their time. The hotel is a bit of a sense of age. We booked a private pool suite but the pool was a bit dirty and there were corpses of bugs in it and there was no water. The room was generally ok. Dinner and breakfast were included but the dishes and taste were not good. There were only lazy ones in the hotel Big dog and a few cats like to follow you. When checking in, I explained a lot of things in detail. There is a free airport pick-up and dinner. You can't wear revealing clothes and drinks are charged separately. Overall it's ok!
