There is a vein of gold that runs through Zakinthos the heart of which is at the Hotel Valais, five holidays there in the late 80's/90's set us on a 35 year path, visiting many other Islands. Our nostalgic return this year with our Son & his Wife and the welcome received from Georgia, George & Katerina reminded us why we fell in love with them all. and now their children too. A beautiful family. The staff make you welcome and cannot do enough for you. A special hug must goto Julia & Helene for their warmth and charm. Thanks also to "ManBat" for all your help. Lovely place myself and my partner stayed at another hotel but we came here every morning for our breakfast and to relax and it's such a great place to eat and the staff are all super friendly highly recommend this hotel if we had of seen this first we would of booked it's in a great location there is sun loungers for hire for the day at reasonably good price and food and drinks are brought to the beach to your lounger and the sea and views are superb

Comfortable and very clean room. Very nice balcony.Cleaners were fabulous and changed bedding and towels daily. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff are lovely and the food was good. The pool was huge and clean with plenty of sun beds and lit up at night. Very good access, right on the beach and near to lots of restaurants bars etc. would stay again.

Perfect stay at this beautiful family run hotel right on the beach in Alykanas. It was several years since we were last at the Valais and it was even better than the last time. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to look after us. Wayne and team at breakfast and Julie and team in the afternoon and evening. Could not fault the service. Rooms were immaculately clean, comfy beds and good shower with screens to help keep floor dry. The pool area was lovely with plenty of loungers and parasols which was brilliant as it was so hot when we were there. We thought that food from the restaurant was reasonably priced with plenty of variety. Location wise. Just steps from the beach with beautiful warm shallow waters. It is just a short 5 min walk into the village for a selection of bars and restaurants. Thank you to the hotel team. We hope to be back soon

Our second time at the Valais it’s a great little hotel staff are very helpful and the food in the restaurant is good as wee,it’s a great venue to explore the island. The beach across the road is wonderful great for small children but beware of the turtles when you are swimming out deep. As I said before the hotel needs a refurb but is kept clean. Only draw back was the beach sun beds now €10 each very pricey.

Returned to the Valais after a 12 year gap and we had a wonderful 5 day stay. The staff were really friendly, efficient and attentive, especially Julie who looked after us in the evenings. Whilst the hotel looked and felt really familiar the upgrades that have been carried out since our last visit made for an even more comfortable and relaxing stay. The food was lovely, the pool area is quiet, clean and relaxing with large, good quality pool towels provided free of charge. If you're looking for a nice relaxing and well run hotel in a great location, you should definitely consider the Valais. Thanks to Katerina and her team for a great stay.

Wonderful holiday in this gorgeous hotel. All amenities were great. The bar, pool and rooms all of a high standard. Food and drink was excellent. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The water sports during the day are a great addition too.

The family and team at this hotel work entirely to ensure you have a super holiday. Cleanliness is superb, not just in the rooms but also the gardens and around the pool, the pool itself which is a great pool and you get a good swim. It's pretty much on the beach and the views from the restaurant terrace and the pool area are super. You have a buzzer at your sunbed table at the pool and buzz this and a member of the team will come and serve you drinks or food. A lot of choices on the menu and we got 10% discount as we were staying there. The food was really tasteful and plentiful. A great place to stay with very attentive staff who really cared about your holiday experience.

The hotel is directly on a great beach. It offers also a beautiful cleen pool and a restaurant with great food and super service. Also we could order directly from our sunbeds on the beach. The rooms are well maintained, clean and confortable. You can easy recognise here owners with an eye for all the details making life easy and beautiful. George, Zorana, Juliet and all the staff are very friendly, eficient and making our holidays perfect.
