Late booked 5 night stay. Hotel very clean Rooms in 600s have a good view.Excellent air-conditioning. Rossa's bar part of the hotel a very short walk away where George and Spirios will make you most welcome. George makes delicious cocktails only €8.00 during happy hour 19.00 to21.00. If you want a quiet break with great beaches nearby and welcoming staff can highly recommend Gerakas Belvedere Hotel and Spa Andrew and Amanda visiting from uk.

Without a doubt one of the most stunning scenic hotels I have ever stayed at. Firstly, and most importantly, you DO really need to hire a car here. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and if you are able to drive then do it, there is no entertainment at the hotel. Saying that, its a lovely hotel with lovely staff. We were there for a week, car hire was not an option but the pool area and the pool itself was never busy. Anastasia on reception was lovely, polite and helpful. Big shout out to George who runs the bar and Spiros who both made our holiday. Both of them brought their own fun in the evenings when sitting at the bar. Our room was kept nice and clean by the cleaning staff. The drinks here are 10 euros for a vodka and tonic so take plenty of spending money!! Getting a sunbed in the morning was never an issue and they are the wooden frame ones with a squishy topper so very comfy. If you are looking for a very quiet, scenic getaway this is the place for you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gerakas Belvedere. Positives Nice Room with Large Balcony Decent Bed (for Greece) and Comfy Pillows Amazing Sea View Very Stylish Communal Areas Comfy Sunbeds and not too busy Villa Rosso was lovely to have a drink but didnt eat here. The Bar Man was extremely Nice & Friendly. Staff were helpful & friendly especially Constantina (who I think was new and had just started and Anastasia. Negatives Pool Bar Closed at 5pm. Had very limited choice of food. A missed opportunity here. No Body Wash in Bathroom and had to ask for some and managed to get some on day 3 No Coffee Supplied but had Kettle & Coffee Cups? Never come across this before. We only ate in Elia Restaurant for breakfast which was ok. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you into Argassi and Zakynthos Town. Its also within walking distance of numerous beaches which is really handy. We would definitely come back to stay again.

Just back from a week in this lovely hotel. Terrific location and lovely views from it's elevared position. We went b and b and had a large, airy room with a very comfy bed. Although we had cooking facilities in the room we never used them as there are plenty of local tavernas to eat out in. The pool is lovely and never got crowded, lots of sun beds, though it was so hot during our stay, we stayed in the shady bits by the pool bar! The staff are all very helpful, special mention to Spiros who seemed to be everywhere morning until night. Ate at the Villa Rosa a couple of nights, amazing freah fish. The pizza restaurant just up the road we also tried, which was very nice but quite expensive. If you want a quiet holiday with a great location this is the place for you.

My wife had previously stayed at this hotel with friends and was keen to take me, mainly because of the peace, the rural location & the beach. I was well aware that it was not a 5* hotel & have stayed in Greece before. Our flight contained a very disruptive/aggressive passenger who was sitting very close to us. Police boarded the flight on arrival; we were quite shaken & arrived at the hotel at 9.30pm on Saturday 9th September after several hours of travel. It was raining & a storm was due. We mentioned our scary flight experience during booking in, "well your holiday starts here" was the response & we were handed our room key. I asked where the bar was as a drink was desperately required, to be told that it was closed because of the rain. I asked if I could have one beer to be taken to our room, to be added to our bill, to be told that it could not be provided as the bar was closed. It's a hotel, surely a drink can be obtained at 9.30om in a Saturday night, but apparently not. We accepted this, deciding that a cup of tea in the room would suffice, only to find that the room contained only a kettle & 2 cups. I returned to reception & asked if we could have 2 teabags & milk, to be told that this had to be purchased from the shops by us. It's now 10pm, dark, raining & no shops are closeby. I was too weary to argue but could have wept to be honest. Later the receptionist brought a couple of teabags & a cup of milk to us. Not a great start & it set the tone. We visited the outside bar on 4 evenings after eating out & found George unpredictable to put it mildly. If we went to the bar to be served he told us it was table service. If we sat at a table we eventually had to go to the bar to be served. We gave up trying. We only drank soft drinks around the pool but the staff behind the pool bar never cracked a smile. Breakfast was quite basic & the room was run by an excellent, motivated young male who also worked in the bar at night, although in the evening he was supervised by George. Our room was quite basic but acceptable. The area is beautiful & there are nice places to eat out but the hotel was underwhelming, especially our "welcome".

Been to this Hotel earlier this year, they must be getting something right. Have read other reviews, we totally agree with some of them. New family members are taking over to upgrade the hotel as it is very tired, like the present owners. The food was generally 2 out of 5 with the old chef. Our 2nd week, chef was replaced due to unfortunate circumstances. EVI their new chef, who was a member of the staff stood in to replace the past chef. WHERE HAS SHE BEEN HIDING - Beautiful Greek cooking, throughly enjoyed it - BIG THANKS EVI. Management, you have your New Chef !!

We stayed in one of the junior suite rooms. The room size was good and it had a large South facing balcony. Only one problem with the room, was the loose shower head that tended to move about when turned on, and as a consequence the bathroom floor was always wet. Pool facilities were showing a bit of wear and tear, and the sunbed covers needed a good clean, but the pool itself was cool and clean. Breakfast offered a decent selection of hot and cold fare and the staff serving were always pleasant. Reception staff were always pleasant and helpful too. Overall, we had a good 10 night stay, and the hotel location is within 5 minutes walk from some nice Tavernas and within 15 minutes walk from some lovely beaches, so we would be happy to return.

This hotel is not reflective of its 4 star rating. The choice at breakfast was minimal - bread, cheese, cheap pastries, salty water and salty fruit juice. The evening meal provided via half board was like a cheap canteen - potatoes and peas, one choice of meat, no real veggie option - most of the food was uncovered so it was sometimes unclear if it was safe to eat. Staff weren’t friendly and were often sullen. Only George at the Rosa bar was welcoming. Reception seemed to lack knowledge- and there was no manager on site. The pool area was neglected eg there was a plaster on the railings of the pool, the sun beds were stained. The area itself is lovely and the surrounding taverns are absolutely fantastic! But sadly the hotel is not to be recommended.

staff brilliant especially Nicole and Anastasia on reception ,disappointed with pool area never cleaned whilst we were there, sun beds never tidied at end of day dirty cushions, pool bar, no bread for toasties no vinegar when asked for. Spiros was always nice and helpful through out our stay overall a tad disappointed ,could do with a manager to run things.
