Stayed for 3 nights in room 8. The hostel is towards the north-west end of Zagreb centre and about a 20 minute walk from the train station. You could take a tram as well. I thought the hostel was difficult to find, unless you happen to see the sign on the side wall. The entrance from the main street leads to a courtyard and the hostel building is at the end of a courtyard. A sign on the street facing wall would've been more visible. Check in was straightforward and the staff took me to the room after the formalities of paying the city tourist tax. The room was located in a basement, via the kitchen and common area. The kitchen had a microwave, cooker and utensils. The room had two bunks opposite each other, a private bathroom, lockers, two small chairs and a low table. Lockers were provided, but you'll need your own padlock. The floor was bare concrete. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Both the room and bathroom were nicely cleaned everyday. The room had a window which opened up to the courtyard, at pedestrian level. As the hostel has a bar and it's close to the street, it can get noisy. The bunk bed was sturdy and barely felt my bunkmate. The mattress was the foam type, which I thought was maybe upside down as the ridges were facing up. To be honest, I thought the mattress was too thin. I could feel the wooden frame underneath. The WiFi could be inconsistent in the room, but works better in the common areas. Location wise, the hostel is to the west of the main sights, but within easy walking distance. The hostel does provide a separately paid for breakfast and even a free coffee machine, but there's plenty of bakeries and cafes around. Overall, I had a comfortable stay. The staff are okay, facilities good and the location was within reasonable walking distance from everything

The room is clean and cute. The comfort is also substantial, and I am very satisfied! Check-in time is fixed, so you need to confirm in advance. The hotel will charge an on-site cleaning fee. The service is very good, I recommend it because I am very satisfied as a hotel ^ _ ^

Everything was excellent. Friendly, warm, and receptive staff. From the front desk to the restaurant. The location is central which was perfect because you can get anywhere in under 30 minutes. The only thing I would warn about is the noise from events that may be held. To be fair, the hotel warned me ahead of time and gave me earplugs. But, the loudness was really unbearable. I worked in nightlife for 10+ years in NYC and it felt like I was sleeping on a lounge chair in front of the DJ booth. So, if you need peace and quiet make sure to ask them ahead of time if there will be an event and to put you in a quiet room away from the sound. But, other than that everything was 5/5. I would stay here again. **One of the only restaurants open in Zagreb during my stay due to COVID. This was a +

Small boutique type hotel. Room was clean, bathrooms very nice, bed comfortable. We enjoyed the small hotel as compared to the large chains. Very quiet for being in the city, nice little private outdoor patio. The young lady that worked that night was so helpful. We arrived later in the evening after driving in from Dubrovnik. She ordered food for us and even served it to us heated up and on plates. She kept us provided with drinks and went out of her way to be an amazing hostess. Refused any tips we offered. There are several sets of stairs , but very manageable. We had a very early flight, but they still offered to make us breakfast. Breakfast area is beautiful.

What began as a suspiciously underpriced, gorgeously designed, epicentrically located property with heart and smiles for days...turned into a psychotic, abusive nightmare, like something straight out of Rosemary’s Baby. Never in all my days, in all the hundreds of properties and thousands of nights in everything from backpacker hostels to five-star suites, have I been subjected not simply to bad service (fixable) but outright and unrepentant hostility, harassment and torment by the staff. Unbelievable. As the gentleman and professional many know me to be, I in good faith detailed the infractions, called for a GM meeting, recommended simple solutions, had multiple follow-up meetings, and presumed the offending micro-tyrants would be disciplined and neutralized. They weren’t. It only got worse. And worse still. Think, stalking, door slamming, man-handling my iPad (verboten), shorting guest change when paying by cash in the bar (witnessed multiple times), having aggressive security called for eating in an otherwise public area five minutes beyond a theretofore unknown “rule,” asking me repeated and pointedly “how long I would be staying...” you get the idea. So, in the end, I cancelled two weeks of reservations (which would have been expanded to 6+) and protested with my feet. I left. A day out and I STILL feel emotionally winded, unsure of what I just witnessed. All I know is that if my behavior to a client or guest even approached this, I’d be – and should be – terminated on the spot. This was not the decision of management. But maybe it’s me. Maybe this is Croatia’s version of adventure travel. Not enough to make me fall out of love with Zagreb...but close. Interesting world.

The hotel is a few years old, the location is a bit biased, and the surroundings are still very good. A hotel in the park, the restaurant waiters are all old grandpas, but the English is great, it is recommended to stay .
