In the center of the old city, the location is very good. The quadruple room has a bathroom and a shower. The privacy is good. The website shows that the price does not include 8 Cuna tax. The most important thing is to treat the roommate who is reliable.

A boutique hotel remodeled from an old house, with a total of 12 rooms, which are slightly cramped in size, especially the bathrooms. It is very close to the sea, a few minutes walk to the sea organ, there are many restaurants around, and the location is super good. The breakfast area is very small, right next to the front desk, four tables and dining tables are all set up temporarily. Although the sparrow is small and well-equipped, apart from not freshly cooked, cold meals, meat, cheese, bread, dessert, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea bags, etc. are all available. Apple pie and cereal yogurt are also very delicious~ this is recommended for visiting Zadar Old Town. .

We spent a beautiful week at the Hotel Bastion, Zadar. It was our first visit to Croatia and to a Relais & Chateaux hotel. The hotel is situated just inside the ramparts of the Old Town offering a lovely view over the port area and is close to the historic centre of Zadar, a beautiful and interesting Roman city. The airport bus stops just below the hotel by the waterside (Stop: Zadar city center-Poluotok) which was very convenient. We had a most comfortable bedroom with a view over the water and we woke each morning to the sound of church bells. It was delightful! Breakfast each morning was varied, delicious, and elegantly served. We were made to feel most welcome by all of the staff we encountered. A huge thank you, therefore, to Jelka, Mario, Marina, and the breakfast team for looking after us so well. We would highly recommend Hotel Bastion to anyone thinking of visiting Zadar.

Booked Zadar as a last minute trip & the first city break we have done, with our two young children. On arrival the hotel looks like a rose between thorns as the surrounding area is still quite rustic, but you can clearly the see the city is up and coming. Great location and easily accessible to the old town for walking! Hotel is modern deco (which we love), beautifully kept and clean. Room was perfect and enough space for all four of us, we had breakfast included and was completely worth it! Good variety & staff were so friendly. Didn’t eat for dinner as went out every evening but found ourselves enjoying the range of cocktails through out the stay, overall would absolutely stay here again and really enjoyed our first visit!!

The hotel is by the sea, but it is far from the old city, the environment may be good here, and the personal feeling is built according to the German holiday habits.
The stay experience is particularly bad, the room is too small, the bed pillow is particularly soft and uncomfortable, the construction noise outside started at 6 am, and the water was stopped several times due to the construction pipeline failure. In short, it feels particularly bad.
The restaurant includes three meals for morning, noon and evening, and the tableware is not cleaned in place.

Fabulous hotel in an amazing setting. The food and drink were excellent. The service was great and the facilities were fabulous. A real hidden gem. The location on the headland is spectacular and the sea all around is such an amazing colour. Lots of places to swim and jump off the rocks. Several swimming pools as well around the hotel and we never struggled to get a sunbed. The buffet was good and there were themed nights a few times a week. Service was good and the staff were all very helpful.

JJeff_the_TouristFirst off let me say Zadar was one our top faves on our trip to Croatia. It was less crowded and had a different vibe than other locations. We felt very safe during our entire visit to Croatia and Zadar was no exception. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights. Luxury Rooms Kadena has 3 rooms and they are a very good value for the money. We were in room 3 and enjoyed it very much. The place was immaculate and very comfortable. The woman that takes care of the rooms daily was very friendly and helpful. The location is right in the heart of Old Town so you will have to walk to it from Sea Gate which is less than 5 minutes. We took a taxi from the bus station to there for 50 HRK (~$7.50 USD). The doorway is situated between 2 restaurants and you will need to use the stairs as no lift is available. We are both in our 60s and this was never an issue. One of the benefits of its location is that many times we found it convenient to go there for a quick rest, drop off purchases, etc. From the doorway there is a small market about 40 feet away. We purchased yogurt, tea, etc. there and made use of the rooms nice supplies of cereals, fruits, etc. to supplement these for breakfast. An espresso machine is also available. The tub was a great touch and the bathroom was wonderful with a large shower and dual sinks. The bed was very comfortable and we slept fine. There are a couple things to consider though. The rooms are in a very close environment with narrow streets and cafes that are open at night and the voices and sounds will filter up to you. Being from the country where we are used to crickets and owls at night, this was a pleasant surprise and part of the culture. The second item is that each morning at 7AM the church tower bells ring long and hard. Again, this wasn’t an issue for us as it was about the time we would have been getting up anyway and is also part of the charm. There were also plenty of European outlets available but no USB ports. WiFi is available but it tended to drop the signal on occasion. What I believe was a signal booster unit was next to the door and unplugging it and plugging it back in brought it on-line again. A TV is also available. If you are going to Croatia I recommend you place Zadar on your list and the Luxury Rooms Kadena is a great place to stay.

GGuest UserWe truly loved our stay here - Elena was great fun, tireless, and a terrific resource in helping us plan our daily activities - our room was wonderful, we stayed in the annex in the Von Trapp room! The main building was formerly a French Military Hospital which was meticulously renovated to create a charming boutique hotel appointed with art on original stone and brick walls and a wonderful garden dining area for breakfast! The location is perfect - short walk to the Sea Organ in one direction and St Donatus and the Zadar Cathedral in the other! We also would highly recommend restaurant Corte at the hotel!

GGuest UserWhat a friendly and nice hotel to be in! We had room 108 which was just perfect - it had a balcony and a small fridge. The swimming pool was nice and had just enough beds around it. After exploring Zadar and its environment it was just great to get back there. It doesn’t seem like the typical hotel where you bring your young children, which just made it perfect for us (as it limits the crowd at the swimming pool and breakfast ;)). We had a half-board stay and the evening dinners are not the typical buffet style, but a 3 or 4 course meal with options for meat, fish or vegetarian. We loved it!

GGuest UserAdvantages: The front desk lady is very good, there is no elevator to help carry the suitcase, breakfast is quite rich, parking is free.
Disadvantages: Compared with our Chinese people, we do not recommend this homestay. The hardware facilities are poor. I asked the front desk for the sheets. The shower room is too small, there is no place to put things, and it is difficult to turn around. The room is old and simple.

GGuest UserWe rented a one bedroom apartment + living room, equipped kitchen for 2 nights for the proximity of the old town of Zadar, 10 minutes by car. Very friendly welcome Pleasant swimming pool. Very varied and plentiful breakfast. We recommend visiting the town of NIN and its Laguna sandy beach 20 minutes away by car. The old town of Zadar is beautiful.

CClimber37932719289After we booked flights to Zadar in the short term, the search for an appropriate accommodation became more difficult: how to link a bathing holiday with an attractive accommodation with the intended visit to the old town? This hotel on the Kolovare beach came into the narrow (2) selection, just the guest reviews did not meet high expectations. The hotel is renovated, rooms like older pictures in brown tones we have not seen, the rooms are in Turkish colours. Only the balconies could be decorated in a sustainable way. You come to the guest behind the barbecues that take the view of one, like in a harem. With little effort, you could end the grids up to the ballast wheel and make a small horizontal sun protection from the upper area. Otherwise everything is okay, from the friendliness of the staff, from the cleanliness, the quality of the food to the availability of high quality beds and sunscreens.

MMatthiasThe Hotel Donat offers a very fair deal with an excellent price-performance ratio. The rooms are a little old. However, they are very clean and the mattresses are very comfortable. The food is down-to-earth and tasty. There is always a large selection of freshly prepared dishes. You can easily walk to the city center of Zadar. The approximately 4 km long route follows the coast and is pleasant to walk. There are several bus stops nearby. You can reach the hotel from the city on lines 5 and 8. I would love to come back!

A very basic hotel situated in an uninteresting part of town and reflecting its use in a previous life. The Dining area was located in the kitchen area and whilst the meals were quite adequate and wholesome, and drinks inexpensive, the ambiance was poor. Our room was basic, bed comfortable, clean, basic shower recess and no tea or coffee making facilities. Towels were old and thin and only changed every second day. Wifi was good! As part of a coach tour we felt it was a poor choice of hotel, given previous hotels were a high standard.
