Boutique Hotel Zaan

Super stay at this fabulous boutique hotel. Friendly check in agent Leon allowed us early access to the room as it was ready. Fabulous view across to the windmills. Continental breakfast was a tasty bonus. The town was noticeably quieter after the day visitors had left, & we had a choice of restaurants.

Clean rooms with beautiful view of the river and Zaanse Schans. Huge lovely bed. Enjoyed our two night stay and vlose to everything in Amsterdam. Just a quick train trip away. Spar across the street. Walking distance from the train station.

What a perfect start to our vacation! Hotel Zaan staff was more than helpful, rooms were clean and bright, bed comfortable and breakfast was delicious. All our needs and requests were taken care of quickly. Location to Zaanse Schans and the area couldn’t be better. Highly recommend.

Went with family, for Easter break. The Hotel is next to the river Zaan, so amazing view during breakfast. Peaceful location away from the Amsterdam hectic. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Since it is an Online Hotel, keep an eye on your emails. Next train station 5 mins walk from the Hotel. No Complainsts!

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The check in procedure simple and intuitive. The breakfast was nice with a beautiful view from the restaurant. Only complaint the bathroom was very cold compared to the room.

Experienced one of the best services i ever had. Service acts professionel and dumbs up for our portugiese breakfast service who knows after second day alkready our favorites. If you like a cosy very clean and comfy hotel your on the right place .kitchen on high standard with limited menue on the italien side with original carbonara andgood selection of antipasti with wonderful bruschetta

Very impersonal without anybody to receive you. Confusing about breakfast. The sign at the restaurant said closed till end of March. Called the phone number to ask where we would have breakfast. I was told restaurant. After I mentioned it was closed they said across the road at the Spar supermarket you pick up breakfast. In the morning went there and people at Spar told me that it had just finished. When I got back to hotel, after buying breakfast, restaurant was open. Poor communication.

We reserved this room months ahead via ********** to have a unique and special experience of an above the river Boutique hotel. We didn't pay too much attention to the room located in an "Annex building". When we checked in to the hotel, the desk representative mentioned that we ordered an "Annex Building" room which is not located in the hotels itself but in some street building that has nothing to do with an hotel definition (see attached picture), although the claim was that it is a similar room to what appeared in the room details in ********** site. When we got to the "annex building", we were not less than shocked by the difference between the boutique hotel and this annex building which has nothing to do with Hotel statement, but more than a building of rooms. In addition, the room has a glass door directly to the street (used to be an office I believe in the past) where my wife and two kids were afraid all night. If this kind of building was pictured and presented on ********** website (which is not, for a good reason) as the "Annex building" no way I would reserve it, definitely not for 183 euro, as I was willing to pay this amount to stay in the unique hotel above the river. When you order a room you also pay for the location and uniqueness of a hotel as should be with a "Boutique" one. When we reached the hotel reception and claimed the building, the answer was that the hotel is fully booked and there is nothing they can do about it. I personally think that this is not something I can refer as a fair business and standing behind a statement that it was stated in the reservation itself...
