The hotel is on the East side of the station which we hadn't stayed before. Its quieter then the West which was nice but still close to some restaurants and the main bus stops for ski resorts. Its about a 5 min walk from the station. We arrived and nobody was at reception and even dinging the bell we had to wait a while. It is a bit of a mess downstairs in reception with the owners clutter but that has nothing to do with your stay so not to worry. We did request a Japanese room if available but nothing was ever mentioned about that and we just got a western style twin. The owner didnt know much english so we didn't want to bother trying to explain. It was clean, neat and every day we got new towels, yukata, new tea, bed made etc. There is a dry room downstairs for your skis and boots and gear and everything was toasty and warm in the morning. You leave the key in the box when you leave each day and get it back from reception once you return, though if we went out for dinner again later or to the konbini we would just keep it on us. You have your own bathroom but they also have 1 Japanese Onsen and you can use it for private and lock the door. It was so nice to have private Onsen as we have rarely been able to have Onsen together in Japan as a couple. It is also a close walk to a Lawson so you don’t have to fight the other tourists for food at the 7 Eleven on the west side. Or you can go to Matsumoto KiYoshi at the station East side. The hotel was quiet when we were there. Perhaps there wasn't many guests or maybe they were just considerate and quiet people. I would stay here again for sure but would like to get a Japanese room next time.

Shared bathroom, public toilet, hair dryer and toiletries. Trip cannot respond to requests for pick-up services. Please ask the station service desk to call for you (if you can speak Japanese). They provide station pick-up services, lockable racks for snowboards, and drying room services. The above is for one person. If you are used to private bathrooms or noisy group play, this is not recommended. The stairs and rooms are all made of wood, so the sound insulation should be poor. If you see this, please don't book this kind of hotel in the future, and please change your shower time to the last minute after 21:30. My daughter and I have to take a shower, wash our hair and blow dry our hair before 10 o'clock! Thank you for the delicious meal provided by the hotel. We can have a full meal and enjoy the food after skiing.

The facilities are complete, the room heater is super warm, and it is very convenient to walk to the Tashiro Cable Car Station. Recommended!
