HanTing Hotel (Yushu Museum)

There are problems with the fire protection measures. The hotel only has an elevator but no fire escape. The elevator also has problems and often breaks down. It may be that the management is loose, but it really needs to be taken seriously. If an accident happens, it will be a big trouble.

The room type and location are uncomfortable. The hotel is in the heart of the city, within walking distance of museums and squares, but it's not a good choice for tourists seeking a quiet retreat. The family room with an exterior window faces a night market downstairs, and the loudspeakers started blaring in the afternoon, making it unbearable. I was offered a king-size room with a window facing the interior. Even after the change, I was still dissatisfied. The hotel building resembles a converted supermarket, with interior windows situated in a circular, enclosed space. Outside the windows is a corridor connecting the many rooms, allowing for unobstructed access between the windows. There are no screens, making opening the windows unsafe, and closing them feels incredibly stuffy, practically the same as having no windows at all. I tried to use the corridor, but there was a peculiar smell. The sink drain in the room didn't have a cover, suggesting the building is old and the plumbing is outdated. Other amenities are comparable to budget hotels. The hotel manager and staff were friendly and helpful, and any issues I've reported are being addressed promptly. For those with a tight schedule and a need to stay near the city center, a one-night stay is acceptable. I wouldn't recommend it for those who demand a high-quality night's rest.
