Today in Lijiang, the cold seeped deep into the bones, with the temperature quietly dropping to 3°C. Each breath crystallized into a faint, misty puff. Although thick clouds obscured the sun, causing us to miss the long-awaited "Golden Sunrise over Snow Mountains," this leg of the journey was gilded with a unique warmth, thanks to a special homestay—Rishine. Our two nights here unexpectedly became the most cherished chapter of our entire 15-day Yunnan journey, a page we were most reluctant to turn. This homestay felt like a deeply considerate old friend, meticulously caring for travelers with its comprehensive amenities: a complete oxygen system safeguarded every peaceful night's sleep; a washer and dryer neatly took care of the dust from the road; a small refrigerator held little joys ready to be discovered; and a hot/cold water dispenser and air purifier quietly maintained the comfort of home. A simple call to "Xiao Du," the smart assistant, would illuminate every corner of the room. Even more precious were the staff members with their sunbeam-like smiles, whose warm and attentive service infused every detail with genuine care. Mornings began with steaming, hearty breakfasts that awakened both body and spirit. Afternoons were adorned with exquisite afternoon teas, punctuating the lazy hours. And deep in the night, a bowl of sweet soup warmed us to the core, gently soothing the chilly evening. Even the regret of not fully seeing the snow-capped mountains was quietly compensated for by the dedicated shuttle service to and from Baisha Old Town. As we picked up our luggage and looked back, we realized that the most unforgettable scenery isn't only found in the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, but also hidden within this little courtyard where time itself seems to slow down. This isn't just a farewell to a homestay; it truly feels like leaving a home we've just grown familiar with.
