Fukiya Ryokan

This is my first time to experience this kind of pure Japanese-style hotel. Although I only stayed there for one night in a hurry, the experience was very rich and colorful. The service staff was warm and considerate. Although we relied almost entirely on translation machines and body language, it did not affect our communication. The aunt who was responsible for taking care of us would patiently help us change our clothes, remind us to appreciate the cherry blossoms, and ask us where to go. It felt like my own relatives were taking care of the children who came to travel. This is probably the meaning of a family hotel. Dinner and breakfast were very delicious and sufficient! The girls really couldn't finish it! When I learned that someone of us had a birthday, I got a handwritten blessing card, which was very touching! Our friends agreed to stay more time to come here next time!

Located high above Yugawara, the balcony overlooks the town. It is very comfortable and suitable for relaxation every day when awakened by the morning light and birdsong. The hot spring is a real hot spring. Your skin will become smooth and translucent after soaking. There are 3 pools in total, 1 private bath requires reservation, and 2 rooftop pools can be entered when no one is there. Because there are not many rooms, you can basically enjoy it when you go there. The food is great and memorable. The service is warm and thoughtful. It feels that the employees here regard this place as home, and hope that every guest who comes here will feel like going home. It is worth going again. Looking forward to going again!

I thought there was a hot spring pool in the room, but it turned out that I had to make a reservation for a private bath. Moreover, the private bath was a small Mouton, which could barely accommodate three children. Although the environment was beautiful, it was a bit stingy.

We stayed with several infants and small children. The room was spacious, and the chairs on the veranda were very comfortable to sit on. They also moved the decorations that our children might break, which was very helpful. We asked for a lot of things, such as how to lay the futon, and they were happy to accommodate us. We were able to use both the reserved bath and the rooftop one. The reserved one had toys for small children, so our children were so happy that they would not come out of the bath. All the baths were at the right temperature, well cleaned, and we were able to use them comfortably. There were plenty of towels in each bath, which was very helpful. The in-room meals were Japanese food using seasonal ingredients, and all of them were delicious. The children's meals were also delicious, and the beef stew was so good that the parents said, "I want to eat that too." The portions for adults were just right for women, so men who are growing up may need to ask for more rice. It was helpful that they were cheerful and helpful, even though the food was being served while children were running around. It was a very child-friendly inn, which was very appreciated. I would like to use it again.

This was my second visit, following my first in November 2020. As with the last time, the rooms and baths were clean and comfortable. Nakai-san and all the other staff were impeccable. The food was also orthodox, with original ingredients and seasoning, which made me very satisfied.
