Yufu Ryochiku

It was a very nice ryokan. The water is good and the food is very good. However, since it is a Japanese-style house, it is difficult to think of a Korean ondol room. it was cold

I used it for Yunotsubo Kaido sightseeing. The building itself is old because it is a building from the Taisho period, but the toilets are clean and you can spend time without problems. The meal is satisfying in both quantity and content, and if you can't eat it all, you can have it turned into a rice ball. All baths are private hot springs, so you can use them without worrying about other people's eyes, but it is difficult to adjust the temperature of the shower. It was a satisfying stay except for the shower.

First of all, the location is about 8 minutes' walk from Yufuin Station with large luggage. It is in the central area of ​​the lively Yunotsubo shopping street. The way there is a little uphill, and I don't feel very out, but next time I should use the delivery service directly next to the station. Opposite Yufu Ryūchiku is the Hinode Haru Ryokan and the Enoya Ryokan, which are diagonally opposite. Across the stream is the high-end Tamanoyu. Tamanoyu also has an exclusive parking lot next to Yufu Ryūchiku, which is for left-hand drive cars. The service is standard Japanese caring service. Because the road to the entrance is a stone-paved landscape, the service staff will rush out to help you carry all the luggage in. After entering, you will be arranged to rest, drink tea, and eat desserts (the cakes sold by the house are very fragrant and delicious) next to it. At this time, you will see the service staff who just carried the luggage trying to help us clean the wheels of the suitcase (surprise). The proprietress will personally receive the check-in confirmation and environment introduction, and finally take us to the room. The stairs in the hallway make a creaking sound. After all, it is a few decades old. When the door of the room is opened, there is a small entrance to separate the toilet and the room. The entrance light is inductive. The windows are traditional paper-pasted ones, but there are airtight windows on the outside. The tatami smells very good, and the environment is clean and comfortable. After the toilet door is opened, there is a pair of very "square" slippers that look like wooden clogs. There is no shower equipment. The toilet is very new. It will automatically open when you approach it, and it will automatically heat up when you sit down. There are four bathing rooms in total, all of which are rented hot springs, two indoors and two open-air. The indoor hot springs are well ventilated and not stuffy. As long as no one is using it, you can go in and take a bath. The disadvantage is that there is no scenery. Because there are only eight rooms in the whole hotel, minus one room with an exclusive private hot spring, you will hardly encounter the situation where the hot spring room is full (there seemed to be only 5 groups of guests on the day we checked in, including Koreans and Japanese. They hesitated at the door to choose which one to take a bath in twice). As for dinner, I can only say that it was a good thing that I deliberately didn't buy snacks in the afternoon. I was so full after eating the whole set. It took about two hours from the aperitif, appetizers... to dessert. The Bungo beef sukiyaki was delicious, and the handsome chef (probably the boss lady) helped us cook sukiyaki. The grilled fish, which I am not good at handling, looked very boney but was easy to separate with chopsticks. After eating and drinking, I went to the lobby to sit on the sofa and eat dessert pudding with coffee. Every time you go in and out, there will be service staff to help you carry your shoes (outside shoes and slippers in the hall). Because I was too full and wanted to go out for a walk, the boss lady reminded me that there were some places here at night without street lights and it was very dark, so I had to be careful. I originally wanted to walk to Kinrin Lake to explore the way, but I couldn't see the street lights in front of me for less than 2 minutes along the stream and gave up. After that, I just wandered around Yunotsubo and visited supermarkets and convenience stores. There were not many people even in the Boqingge store. The breakfast was also very rich. The table was full as soon as I sat down. I thought it was about the amount, but it was served one after another, and I was full again. The handsome chef last night was actually wearing a suit to receive guests. I think he should be the boss. Finally, the check-out time is 10 o'clock. The luggage can be left in the room and the service staff will help carry it down (there are many antique decorations on the corridor stairs, and it is safer to ask the hotel staff to help carry the luggage). When we check in, the boss lady will first confirm our transportation method and tell us that we can leave our luggage at the hotel and go back to pick it up when we need to catch a bus. After handing over the keys, we went to visit Kinrin Lake and the shopping street first, and went back to the hotel to pick up the luggage at noon. The handsome chef in a suit and other service staff will help us take pictures, carry the luggage to the door, and then wave and bow to say goodbye. It feels really warm.

If you don't expect a bath, I think it's a good inn. In a sense, it's a great effort to run a small, cozy inn, but I don't feel like taking a relaxing bath when all I can see is the sky... but overall it was a good inn.
