I almost didn’t book this because there wasn’t an en-suite bathroom (there’s a sink & WC though) but so glad I didn’t miss out on this gem of a ryokan! The decor was modern Japanese chic, the service was super friendly and the location was insane - less than a minute to the shopping street from the side lane! I booked a river view but I feel any room would have a good view. As for not having an en-suite bathroom, the private onsen more than made up for it!

I enjoyed my stay at Enokiya, the room is aesthetically pleasing and the staff is very helpful with good command of English. The location is near walking, shopping street and Lake Kinrin but slightly further from the train station. I had dinner at the hotel bar which served Izakaya food, the food is delicious and service is attentive. I am glad that I choose to eat in rather than venture out.

Great facility with three private hot springs. The room is super cozy. Location is a 15 mins walk distance from the JR station, if you go with a big luggage, it would be a bit inconvenient but still acceptable. The ryokan is 8-10mins to the Kinrin Lake.

1. The waiter is nice and the service is very good.
2. Be sure to buy breakfast. Very delicious
3. Private bath is great, you won’t have to wait too long. The main reason is that the hotel rooms are few and simple.
4. There are kittens nearby who come to ask for food, which is very cute. The hotel treats cats very kindly.
