I had expected to have too many clothes to change into and would have to pay a dry cleaner, but I wasn't expecting the hotel to offer free laundry, which they would meticulously dry, fold, and deliver to my room. I dropped my dirty clothes off at the front desk that evening, and they arrived the next morning, perfectly clean. For those on a tight schedule, it was a real relief; I didn't have to worry about ”laundry” at all. Even more surprising was the handmade wontons and dumplings for breakfast! I hadn't had high expectations for breakfast at a mid-range hotel, but when I arrived at the restaurant, I saw the lady making wontons fresh from the oven. The wontons were thin and filling, and the broth was delicious. The dumplings were also generously filled, not frozen, but handmade. A warm bowl of them filled me up all morning. This thoughtfulness, not just from chain restaurants, was heartwarming, far superior to the pre-packaged breakfasts of many high-priced hotels. The room was also very clean, with soft, non-sweating bedding. The front desk staff was friendly and responsive to any inquiries. The ”free laundry and handmade meals” alone are two key features that make this place so much more thoughtful than similarly priced hotels. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in this city!"
