EXCEPTIONAL. I’ve been solo traveling for 6 weeks now and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in any city or town. Truly stunning location, very very well designed hotel, and lovely underfloor heating. Best breakfast I’ve had outside of luxury hotels, great hiking nearby. Really loved my stay - kind of regret I didn’t stay any longer. Very little food around Yuanyang rice paddies, but the hotel has a good restaurant on site.

Wow! Jacky is a man of many talents: he is a tour guide, driver, guesthouse owner and chef. He is a local whose English is very good. He is very knowledgeable about the area and very interesting to talk to. His place is amazing and located right on the edge of and overlooking the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. Unfortunately there was plenty clouds and fog for the sunrise, but Jacky's rooftop has an amazing view of the rice terraces, and on the perfect morning, I'm sure it'll be amazing. Next time we'll stay here 2 or 3 nights. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! P.s. The only thing is the location on trip is correct but to get there using a gps, you need to go to the nearest parking lot, and then walk down through the village to the Guesthouse.

It should be the best homestay on Hani terraces. It is very new and full of design. The bedding, toiletries, straw hats, woven bags, fan, and various furnishings are full of details. Hotels or homestays of the same price are all overlooking the terraced fields at a high position. And this homestay is uniquely located, two or three minutes away from the houses of other villagers, very quiet. It is located in the terraces at close range, and you can walk to the field. It is really beautiful. After we punched in several observation decks, we agreed that the location of this homestay is the best and most filmed. The service is also very good. The proprietress is a little girl who is warm and generous and invited us to participate in the activities of the hotel, but the time is tight and regrets that we have not been able to participate. The other staff are all villagers in the village, warm and simple. The chicken noodle soup for breakfast is too delicious. I hope I can come back again if I have a chance.

Pretty much next to the terraces! The view from my room was amazing, especially sunrise, could clearly see it from my room or could go to the outside area to see. Therefore didn’t have to go to the overcrowded viewing platform at the crack of dawn. Room is comfy, heater and towels provided but not really much else, so paying really for the view. Shower powerful and warm but no toiletries provided. Says restaurant on description but in fact doesn’t have one, has a couple of tables where the owner can warm up dumplings or baozi, however the owner is very nice and took me to see his friend which is only a short walk away who had a kitchen and could cook different meals at good prices. The owner helped me carry my luggage down, and it was pretty heavy, and then helped me to arrange someone to bring it up at the end of my stay. I would recommend not bring too much with you as it’s about an 8-10 min walk from the nearest car park, with quite a few steps or uneven paths but like I said, can arrange someone to help with any heavy luggage. Also it is in a little village surrounded by nature so bear in mind, you are going to hear things like the chickens and the wind. Owner speaks great English, always there to answer questions and help.

Then the hotel organizes activities such as fishing and some interesting farm work, but they are all in the afternoon. So I missed it perfectly when I checked in at 6 o'clock. I either stayed for two days, or I arrived at noon to play. (What was even more outrageous on the day I lived was the power outage in the area the next day) The store is relatively simple, I want to order their signature chicken soup, and they say it will be stewed for 3 hours, but it is too late to make it. I ordered other cheap ones later, and the sound of killing chickens came from the back kitchen, so it was very fresh...

The hotel was clean, room large and comfortable, but staff catastrophic. They did not help at all, and the food was awful. I would not recommend this hotel to tourists that would need any help from the staff.
