Yuanyang Hotels with Gym

This was my third trip to Yuanyang rice terraces to watch the harvest, that I am fascinated by, during harvest season My previous trips I stayed at OneNess Resort (1/2 mile from Cloud). Both are great. Oneness is newer but Clouds has a vintage personality that is hard to beat. When I arrived, I was disappointed that there was no regular chains or small desk or table to sit at to work on computer and organize the daily videos that I captured. I just mentioned this to the manager and I went out to explore the area. When I returned, he had brought a table and chair to my room and placed them on the rooms terrace. The people here are so friendly and I personally take service and friendliness of the staff at the top of my list, Two of the young girls (sorry for the phrasing but I man 78 and we always used to use that terms as a compliment) tracked me down to invent me to come to the reception area and they would make me coffee. I was heading out so they quickly went back to the main reception and then returned to give me several “brew in you room” coffee pods. Fabulous location, fabulous people.. I’ll be back - God willing.

Canadian traveler stayed 3 nights in late September. Good breakfast. The resort is very nice, restaurant food dishes were tasty, services were excellent. Two rice terraces are within walking distance (Hani and Jiankou). Others are further out, you need to have your own transport. Off season rates are very affordable. A bit off the off the beaten path. Highly recommended.

We chose to stay here to see the terraced fields. We were satisfied. We stayed in a ground floor courtyard room. The room was very large and the bedding was clean. We checked in in mid-February. We stayed above the terraced fields. The scenery was very pleasant. We could walk into the restaurant in one step. The breakfast was also very rich. The hotel's additional tickets were worth it. I accidentally saw a guide on Mafengwo that recommended that if you want to visit the Duoyishu Terraces, you should stay at Huawowojia Inn. The inn is built on the cliff. There are several inns from top to bottom. Their location is not the highest. After leaving the parking lot, you have to walk a long dirt road and stone steps to the bottom. It is a bit inconvenient for elderly people with mobility problems. Fortunately, the inn staff will carry a large backpack to help you carry your suitcase. I was afraid that my 28-inch suitcase would not fit, so they had to help us deliver it to the parking lot the next day. Although the view is not as wide as the above inns, it feels closer to the terraces. In addition to the view room, there is also an outdoor platform where you can drink tea, sunbathe and enjoy the view. The interior is very unique and romantic, and feels very warm. There are a few sofa cushions on the wooden staircase, and I feel like I can sit there for an afternoon to drink tea, read books, and bask in the sun. The room is also quite warm, with air conditioning, electric blankets, and a large shower room with separate wet and dry areas. You can enjoy the view from the large French window, but I still set up a tripod to take a time-lapse photo early in the morning. The sunrise was about 7:50, and I felt like I had been waiting for half an hour and it still hadn't come out. I couldn't help but go upstairs to the room, but it suddenly jumped out. The innkeeper thought it wouldn't come out today, but fortunately he took a photo and asked him to send it to me. If you come to Yuanyang Terraces, I suggest staying here, so you don't have to rush to the viewing platform early in the morning to watch the sunrise.

The service provided by the boss is very, very OK. It is worth my driving thousands of miles to come to this world cultural heritage. The meaning of journey is to discover, there are surprises and disappoin**ents. When you fall asleep with anticipation all night, you will find that you can't sleep at all. Every time you open the curtains, it will give you a feeling of surprise. The word ”beautiful” cannot be used here, because it is not enough to describe its stunning beauty. Only surprise can match the indescribable scenery of the terraced fields illuminated by the morning light. On the sightseeing road, it is strongly recommended that all drivers and passengers open the windows, blow the wind, and face the original fragrance of trees, flowers and plants. Please forget your worries and immerse yourself in the sea of ​​clouds in the morning and the sunset in the evening. When you check out, the boss will give you red rice 😄. In summary: it is not unaffordable to live in more than 1,000, and this location is really more cost-effective.

The hotel is probably owned by a local state-owned enterprise. It has a very high floor. However, the attitude of the waiter who just entered the door and went through the formalities was very average. Could it be that the current front desk staff just takes the ID card, gives the room card, and tells the breakfast time and the location of the restaurant? , that’s it, nothing else was said, nothing about hotel Wi-Fi or anything like that. Alas, the training was not in place. If it weren’t for seeing the rice terraces, I wouldn’t have chosen this city to live.

One of the best guesthouse we have bien so far in China! There is actually 2 jcky's guesthouse: one is brand new and wonderful and the other is closer to the terraces with an amazing view from its rooftop. Jacky was very kind and explain a lot about Hani culture and his dog was a very good guide 😂. Also Jacky speaks a perfect english so it's very convenient for foreigners. I will come back for sure.
