I really really love this hotel. It's not that the hotel itself has much, but the scenery and environment are really beautiful. The hotel is not built in the scenic area in the traditional sense, but the hotel has been completely integrated into the environment, and the guests have become ”people in the painting”.
Let's talk about the shortcomings first. There are two shortcomings. You must consider them carefully before departure: First, the road to Yuanyang Terraces Scenic Area is difficult to travel. It's not just difficult. It takes about 3 hours to drive from Jianshui Ancient City. No matter which road you take, it's best to choose Yuanlu Secondary Highway in the second half, and don't take Aiwu Section. Yuanlu Secondary Highway is already a winding mountain road, and Aiwu Section is even more difficult to drive. It's better for non-experienced drivers to avoid it. It rained on the day we went down the mountain. We waited until noon at the hotel until the rain stopped before we set off. As a result, there was heavy fog all the way, and we could only see about five meters ahead. This is a winding mountain road. You can imagine the feeling of driving 20 yards down the mountain. Later, when we took a taxi in Jianshui, the taxi driver said that someone once chartered a car to go to the terraces, and it was too difficult to drive, and he said he would never go there again. Second, life in the mountains is not that convenient. There is absolutely no **Ele.me. It takes several days for the courier to come to the door to deliver the red rice bought in the hotel. There are not many dining options. You either drive half an hour to go out to eat on the winding mountain road, or eat in the hotel or Azheke Village. There are relatively few flavors to choose from. If you are picky about eating, it is best to do your homework first.
Well, after talking about the disadvantages, the rest are all advantages. The hotel staff will add WeChat in advance and send the location. According to the location, drive to the parking lot. There are plenty of parking spaces. There is also a small store next to it. You can come to replenish when you need it. There is no flat road from the parking lot to the hotel. All the luggage is carried by people. We packed the suitcase in advance and put the clothes and toiletries in a 20-inch small suitcase. A young lady came to the hotel and put them in a backpack. We followed them all the way to the hotel. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk, passing by paddy fields and residents. After arriving at the front desk, you will be given the key to the room. It is a real key. The staff will take you around. The whole hotel is not very big, and you will figure it out in a while. If you don't understand anything later, you can ask the staff directly when you meet them on the way. The staff are all from nearby villages, and they seem to be all women. They are very friendly, but some of them may not be very good at Mandarin, which is understandable.
We booked a loft room, with a sofa, TV and balcony on the first floor. Outside is a large green terraced field with unclear boundaries. If you come in winter, it will be full of water, which must be beautiful. The second floor is a big bed. The room was renovated on the basis of the original house. It is quite comfortable to live in. There is no air conditioning. Fortunately, it is cool on the mountain. It is still a bit crowded to bring children. On the second night, we opened another courtyard room. The scenery is indeed much worse than the loft room.
When we checked in for dinner on the first day, we told the hotel that if we want to eat, remember to tell us in advance, and order the meal in advance and eat on time. The restaurant has 2 floors and a super large terrace. The view should be the best location in the hotel. It is no problem to watch the sunrise and sunset, and to be in a daze. There is also a big fire pit in the restaurant. You can come and sit on the sofa and read a book when you have nothing to do. The ingredients of the restaurant are all grown and raised directly locally, and the main feature is local freshness. As for the taste, to be honest, it is the normal level of home-cooked food. If the taste is a little different, I may not be used to it. We also had two meals in Azheke Village later, which were almost the same, and the taste and products were similar. For breakfast, you just need to come to the restaurant directly after getting up and washing up. The food will be served according to the number of people. I still like the red rice porridge with salted duck eggs.
I stayed in the hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The scenery is different at every time, sunny, cloudy, foggy, rainy, sunrise, sunset, no music, no paperwork, emptying yourself here will definitely make you feel different from time to time. After getting up the next day, I watched the fog slowly climb up from the foot of the mountain, and then gradually dissipated under the sun. That feeling is really impossible to describe in words.
The hotel has a fishing activity, and there is no need to make a reservation. The fish pond is next to our room. The waterproof work clothes and shoes are placed on the table. Just change them and go down. The water was not deep, and the staff taught the operation method. It was fun to fish like Zhu Yilong. I probably caught five or six fish in more than an hour.
It was too sunny after noon, so I stayed in the hotel. At around 5 or 6 in the afternoon, I felt that the sun was not so strong, so I went to the nearby Azheke Village for a walk. It took about ten minutes to walk there. There was someone guarding the village entrance during the day. You could pass by showing him the hotel key card. I won’t introduce the village, I’ll save it for the next article, hahaha.
Outstanding
