I received a call the day before check-in to ask if there are any special requirements and arrival time. After check-in, I met Mr. Tang in the lobby who was going upstairs for maintenance. He saw the child carrying heavy objects such as snowshoes and took the initiative to help deliver them to the room. Director Chen of the housekeeping department also took special care during the inspection, provided children with children's toiletries, and paid special attention to the hygiene of the room, so that we could stay at ease. This was a gem of a hotel. The staff were so incredibly helpful and treated us like family. We booked here for Chinese New Year to ski and didn’t know what to expect as neither of us speak much Chinese. It didn’t matter. Everyone tried to help us. I realize Holiday Inn is a big brand hotel, but it feels far more friendly than that and homely. The skiing was easy to organize. The hotel can help book ski and board hire and passes. The hotel is right next to the slopes - you can take a shuttle bus or walk 4 minutes. The skiing was also excellent - hard packed snow as you would expect, but the slopes are well laid out. The hotel restaurant was also good. Great breakfast and dinner was hot pot and buffet. Great trip - will be back!
