Recommended.
It is close to station and Just one stop train to Yokohama. Make it as a good point for day trip along the south coastal line.
Accessible to underground mall but limited dining choice aftet 10pm

Comfortable hotel sitting on the JR room. The single room is still smaller than some 4 star hotels, however it's still comfortable to stay in.
The bath and shower rooms are quite large. There is ample space for a desk chair setup and the rooms come with a free drink and chocolates.

Hotel is next stop after Yokohama station. I would suggest pick the Met series right on the big station so no need to travel extra. Other than that room is clean, new and bigger than a standard Tokyo hotel. Bathroom is very decent and good size. Free coffee in the lobby is really nice, pretty good coffee too!

Breakfast area is a restaurant downstairs. The cleanliness can be very much an improvement. The hotel is good but the breakfast make the experience rated low.

Hotel is very convenient with Sakuragicho station just at doorstep (entry n exit) via the new south side. Many attractions nearby and we walked to Cosmo Clock 21, Cupnoodles Museum, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Yokohama World Porters etc. We also walked to the Chinatown to explore the area. Staff are very helpful and polite. Room equipped with Dyson hairdryer, humidifier and fan, and Refa shower head etc. 👍

If you ever have to visit Yokohama, and looking for affordable yet decent hotel, this is the place to stay. Phenomenal service, love the onsen like bathroom, good variety of amenities. Also they got dyson hair dryer each room. Good location to walk around and do sightseeing. Will definitely come back when we are around the area next time.

I stayed at JR East Hotel Mets Sakuragicho and really enjoyed it. The location is excellent — right next to the station, with easy access to both the waterfront area and downtown Yokohama. Super convenient for sightseeing or just walking around the city.
The room was modern, clean, and a decent size for Japan. Comfortable bed, good amenities, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. But the highlight for me was definitely the salt bath (onsen-style). After a long day of walking, it was the perfect way to unwind and relax — not something you always get at a city hotel.
Staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was smooth. I’d happily stay here again, especially for the bath and the overall comfort.
