Allure Yala

Staying at this boutique hotel was an experience beyond any 5-star hotel I’ve visited in the last 35 years of traveling. The establishment is tastefully designed and decorated, exuding elegance and comfort in every corner. The staff were exceptional, personalizing every request with warmth and professionalism, ensuring that we were well looked after from start to finish. Ishan and Upasena were extraordinary! Our group of six, a mix of French and Swiss travelers ranging from various age groups, including our oldest member at 78 years old, was amazed by how the team catered to each of our meal preferences flawlessly. Every dish was prepared with care, and the quality of the food was simply outstanding. The location is ideal, nestled near a beautiful lake and the famous Yala National Park, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. It’s clear that the proprietor is deeply passionate about wildlife, and this passion is reflected throughout the property. We also discovered a stunning collection of wildlife photography displayed around the hotel. It would be wonderful to have the option to purchase or order these photo books as a keepsake of our time in this extraordinary place. Stayed 2 nights with family. It's a nice place to stay but you get what you pay for.. it is a 40+ min drive to the gate. Food is too salty, and I had to ask to replace curry that had too much salt. Extra beds for kids are not comfortable.. other than that it's a nice place to stay next to the lake.. do note that it is al a carte menu and food gets cold when it is served. Also, there is nothing nearby to buy snacks and drinks. So suggest you buy it before coming here..

We stayed two nights at Allure Yala in the suite with a private pool. The room was a great size - extra large and comfy bed, couch and TV, dining table, verandah with outdoor seating, and a separate bathroom with a large shower and tub. We loved sitting in the pool with the louvers open to look out to the lake. When we first arrived there was a large herd of water buffalo hanging out in the cool water next the hotel. The service we received was also impeccable. Nothing was a bother and the staff were always available and willing to go out of their way to help. We had some fantastic food during our stay too - extensive picnic packs for our morning safari, lunch on our return, afternoon tea, breakfast the next morning on the deck and two delicious dinners. The food was delicious and great portion sizes. A special thank you to the management team who kindly upgraded our stay to include our dinners and also assisted us with having our laundry done before our departure. Overall, a lovely visit!

My new bride and I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to everyone that took time off their busy schedules to celebrate our marriage with us. We would like to thank everyone that graced us with their presence on both our wedding reception and homecoming. It was an honor to share the beginning of this new journey with each and everyone of you. Outstanding service, location (on the lake!) and accommodation. There can't be better in Yala! Lodge only has 3 rooms/suites so service is Personal. Ishan, was of wonderful assistance and even rose at sunrise with us in case we needed anything. So courteous and polite too. We are very grateful. Sophia upgraded us to the honeymoon suite as it was unexpectedly available that day. This stay will remain in our memory banks forever. Don't miss it! We even saw Kingfishers!

The location is simply amazing you have monkeys in the garden. We had the 2 rooms on the ground floor. Huge space, the staff is really great, listenning to all your concerns, pro active and efficient. Special thanks to Pathun for his behavior with our son. We came for the safari and unfortunatly, we had an heavy Rain for 2 days. They had games to keep us busy 😀

Spent a couple of nights at Allure Yala in Dec 2022. I stayed in Room1 Handunoruwa which was facing the lake Yoda Wewa. The owner has given quite bit of thought with this boutique hotel. Everything about this place is class with lots of ambience. I indulged in the mouth-watering local cuisine and the fantastic hospitality of the staff at Yala Allure. Also managed to organise a trip to Yala Sanctuary organise by the staff - Yes did sight Leopards. If you ever happen to hit the southern belt of Sri Lanka, then try out Allure Yala. You will not be disappointed. As for me I’ll go there again Marlon Von Hagt

What a fantastic , Beautiful place. Staff were brilliant , very helpful. The scenery was out of this world. My honest thoughts are "Allure" is value for money and will visit again. Best Wishes Sujan & Nadeeka Wickremaratchi
