Hotel Käenpesä

It is okay to be there for 1-2 days. The air was bad, because you can't really open a window, except for that very small one, so the air circulation is bad. Rooms get cleaned from mon-fri. Usually not during the weekends. One thing, that I saw immediately was, that the room had a dead fly on the floor, and a very much alive spider. I don't think that that should happen. Also the blanket had stains, also not really that should happen in a 3 star hotel in my opinion. The staff was nice, but you also have the feeling that they do not care much about anything. Which is not necessary a bad thing either, but it feels more like a motel than a hotel. The breakfast was very small, but tasted good. It's an old hotel and definitely not soundproof. Yet, because not many people are there, it is okay.

I guess this is the only(?) hotel in Ylivieska, so on a business trip decided to stay here. In a small town it's good that you have some place to stay and with free parking and breakfast, little over 100€ for a night was acceptable. BUT, it was one of the most hottest day in May ever in Finland and room was so hot. There wasn't any AC, only 1 small plastic fan and it wasn't that quiet either. Room doors are more like your doors inside the house, so you could here everything from outside...also those several other guests who were going on a breakfast 6.30am. So sleep quality was far away from ideal.
