Really nice hostel and the owner will do his best to help you. They proposed great tours that I recommend. You have shops and restaurants around and close to the railway station, which is nice because it is the picking up point of the tours.

Welcoming and helpful guy running the hostel, spacious common room with table and chairs, clean bathroom, laundry machine and kitchen available under commission, free hot water, drying reck and room. About 25' on foot from the train station. 6 door beds with lockers, no windows.

The location of the hotel is very nice, it is easy to reach the surrounding areas on foot. There is also a bus stop nearby. The wall in the shower was broken. The ceramic was broken and the concrete was exposed. It would look bad and also very dangerous.

The Chen Pu Youth Hostel I stayed in when I came to Yining City was recommended by a friend. I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked in. The environment was clean and the service attitude was also very good. I stayed here for a week on and off and I will choose this youth hostel next time.
