This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel, I keep coming back to it because it caters to all my needs. The hotel is centrally located, with easy access to shopping, restaurants , museums, opera house, etc... The rooms are decent, not too small and not too big, closet space is quite limited and the bathroom is a bit tight. The daily complimentary still and sparkling waters are a nice touch as well as the herbal tea at night. The service at the hotel is excellent, the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your requests. The concierge service is reliable and efficient, the spa therapists are knowledgable and well trained. Overall it has a lot to offer. The breakfast area is beautiful, specially in the summer where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the freshly backed Armenian jenkelov Hatz. The breakfast buffet is a bit weak, could use a couple of more items, but overall its a wonderful hotel. The only downside of this hotel is that is has gotten very expensive, I would say not justifiable considering other hotels are much cheaper.

Alexander delivers on its reputation for the most expensive hotel in Yerevan with good service and understated luxury. Rooms are not very big but you have everything you need. Amenities are there too. I love their breakfast with everything you expect from a hotel of this class aided by local foods.

The Alexander is a boutique luxury hotel in the Marriott Bonvoy world. Outstanding service all the way through our five-day stay, the best I've ever had in dozens of hotel stays. The breakfast, while having fewer options than breakfast buffets at larger hotels as noted in some other reviews, was superb - high quality and again the amazing service of the hotel staff. Nice bar on the ground floor but nothing fancy. I had the Martinez cocktail two nights in a row made by two different bartenders. One was amazing and the other was mediocre - go figure. The only weird experience was when the turndown service came the first night at 9 pm, which seemed very late. I was already in bed reading and had to turn them away. They came earlier the following nights.

This is a great hotel in a great location. I'm a little inclined to rate less than five stars because I found breakfast a bit disappointing for a five star property but they made up for it in other ways so five it is. The location is excellent, right next to Republic Square and Northern Ave. I liked the building and the room was tastefully decorated and comfortable, though nothing that blew me away. I did like however how generous they were with room supplies. Always six bottles of quality drinking water, replenished every day, and at least two of everything for the bath supplies. They say it's the little things that make a difference, but that just gave a welcoming feeling and not a sense of cutting corners that is so common in many hotels these days. Nice welcome plate of fruits and little chocolates at evening turndown. Breakfast was exceptional in the sense that there was a high level of personalized service, with a waiter taking a la carte orders and providing hot drinks. And I have to say I've never had staff offer you beverages and cakes to take away with you after breakfast like they did here-- a really nice touch. That being said, I did not feel the breakfast offerings met my expectations- especially for vegetarians. There was one tiny bowl of salad (seemed more like a garnish) and a dish of plain undercooked boiled vegetables. I had much better salad and vegetable options at much less expensive four star hotels in Armenia. Even for meat and egg eaters, there really was not as much selection, neither on the buffet nor on the a la carte menu, as what I would expect from this caliber hotel and pricetag. And there was nothing special for foreign tastes (high end hotels often have additional offerings for Chinese/Indian etc.) The items I ordered from the menu were not great either. Maybe the egg dishes are better. Overall there is definitely lots of room for improvement in the breakfast- though the setting, views and service are great. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would rate the service, room and location five star and the breakfast four at best.

The Alexander is the most luxurious hotel in Yerevan but it is Overpriced. I had stayed at The Marriot in June and vowed not to go back. I was happy to be back at The Alexander. I had a wonderful corner room , smaller than the Marriot room but much more luxurious. The bathroom was very nice, with plenty of toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, tooth brush etc.....Service at the hotel was friendly and the staff was always trying to help. The overpriced rooftop breakfast needs improvement. While the ambiance was beautiful, the buffet was lacking, specially for someone like me who is gluten free. They did have gluten free bread upon request. I tried the spa for a message and had a wonderful therapist. I would have gone again, but it was way overpriced. There was a small gym and a lap pool with beautiful sitting area and big windows, unfortunately I did not have my swimwear with me. The lounge by the lobby has a wonderful bartender who made me many drinks upon demand. My only disappointment was that their menu did not offer anything gluten free. Overall I had a good time and will give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

It’s a nice hotel in Yerevan with great service. But the hotel is overpriced and rooms are not really specious. In my room I didn’t have a bath and the shower was so tiny it was even hard to get a shower. Also there was no shelf to put sofa or bath amenities. So I had to keep it in my hands. How is it possible for the best hotel in Armenia? What I really liked is the soundproofing. Hotel is located in the city Center and it’s not quiet outside but inside the room it’s so quiet. That’s brilliant! Breakfast is superb. Pool and jacuzzi are great as well. Valley parking is available what is really uncommon for Yerevan, that’s great option. Location is amazing.

This is everything you would expect of a modern Luxury Collection property. The rooms, the pool, the gym, breakfast... all top notch. Location is also perfect. There were, however some problems. Some serious. Some minor. Serious: - there is no way to contact the hotel electronically prior to arrival. There is no published email. I contacted them by Facebook Messenger, and they gave me an email address.... to which they did not reply. I recontacted via Messager... and they did not reply. No email address for a hotel in 2023 is not acceptable. - I was arriving ahead of the check-in time (10am vs 2pm) and checking out well before the check-out time (6am vs 12 noon). I explained the situation, said that I did not need my room early but i) if it was available great but ii) if it wasn't I would freshen up and change my travel clothes in the gym changing room. The answer - 'if you want the room before 2pm, you pay 50% of the daily rate. You may access the gym only after 2pm'. I was shocked. I understand that they are under no obligation, but refusing to allow someone to use the changing room?? I insisted. Eventually they relented. The changing room was perfect (and empty). But not good first impressions. - Returning from dinner, I was surprised that there is no evening turn-down service. I went to bed just before 10pm (I had been travelling) and did not think to put up DND sign because I was getting up at 6am and receiving room service breakfast. The turn down service came into my room just after 10pm when I was in bed. That is bizarrely late IMO (note that Yerevan is a late city with limited morning activity). - Room service breakfast was delicious except that orange juice was in a bottle. In Armenia, fresh OJ is available from any roadside stall. Surely the kitchens of the Alexander can produce it for breakfast? The hotel is expensive. It seems to be priced with the diaspora in mind who will not be surprised by NYC or Paris prices. For example, the $200 per hour for a massage is really extreme in this part of the world. I have no doubt about their claim to be the best hotel in Armenia, and I appreciated the luxury and service after some challenging travels through the Caucuses. However, I do think the management should get a grip on the service/value balance.

We stayed at this hotel 6/17 to 6/26.. the room we paid for was supposed to have a balcony and a view of the Abovyan street. We stayed in room 805 which was facing some random building and we had no street view whatsoever plus there was no balcony like promised….I also know we paid like 600$ a night. If management thinks I’m wrong like they told my travel agent then they can reach out to me directly. Breakfast was nice….. Spa which I used like 4 times was VERY OVERPRICED…. I asked for a coffee while I was getting my hair blow dried they even charged me for that cup of coffee…like really?.. The cleaning service in the room was ok until I complained to front desk cause the room was too dusty. The menu in the lounge was really basic. The area if the hotel was very good though.
