the hotel was lovely, the room was very clean, tidy and spacious, the staff were very friendly, however were very busy and understaffed, there were 2 members of staff on to deal with the hotel and restaurant. this lead to delays which was completely no fault of the staff but left people making complaints and causing more stress on the staff members. I'd definitely visit again.

The hotel is centrally located in the town. Convenient for walking to local attractions and amenities. At the reception I was attended to by Una whose reception was excellent. Friendly and welcoming. Excellent customer service. The room was neat and specious. The restaurant staff have what it takes to provide excellent service. Good value for the money. Just comfortable with satisfaction.

Arrived after midday asking for early check in. Was advised that as check out was not until midday it was unlikely. Why offer something you don't really want to sell. This is the 2nd same experience a a Premier Inn within 7 days. I was also due a £9 refund for being overcharged at pos. I actually took the time to phone the hotel directly some weeks ago over this and was assured refund would be made on arrival. On arrival the same person who did eventually check us in early promised to effect the refund. Due to this not being done swiftly and local roadworks taking us on a scary back road detour, the check in was done complimentary. Thank you. That night the air con stopped working and despite my re setting it several times it would not work At one point the room was 24.5 degrees. . At 2.30 am the air con cut back in. Shortly after the people in the room above started running up and down the room. I always thout PI had night patrols. We gave up and put the TV on ( quietly). No point complaing as the " good night sleep guarantee" is worthless. So many hurdles to jump through. Next morning fed all this back to a young lady on the desk who was genuinely concerned. I also asked her to check my refund had been actuated. It had not. After I had re explained the reason for it and showed her my dual invoices, she did this instantly. Why could yesterday's staff member not do the same? We were really happy that the early check in fee had been waived and was not intent on chasing up the refund ( roundabouts and swings) but after not sleeping my mindset changed. Great location, off hotel parking at stars Lane is outdoor and not circa £4 for 24 hours. It is £4.70 a day. A day ends at 8am next morning. Best off pay on arrival until 6pm then after 6pm buy a new ticket for next day if leaving after 08.00. Otherwise you will need to run out before 08.00 to top up. Would not return here give the issues.

Very nice hotel but the breakfast was poor - cold and unappetising, congealed baked beans, cold, overcooked, rubbery poached eggs. A let down from Premier Inn. Should have gone to Morrisons!

Stayed 1 night in Aug 24 Good - clean room, clean bathroom, good size tv, Bad - no parking provision but can use council car park free between 6pm to 8am, hot breakfast is to order in restaurant and quality of food poor with all items swimming in fat and taking 20 mins to arrive, no decaff tea bags available

Booked the hotel so my son could get a good nights sleep before his driving test. On arrival no staff present, despite buzzing I had to go and find someone in the restaurant. Checked in to the room and despite booking a twin found the room only had one double bed. Given we only needed a good nights sleep we tried to make do, but alas this was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever experienced. Zero mins sleep achieved (exactly the opposite of what we wanted/needed ahead of the driving test) and just to top off the worst nights attempted sleep something else was sharing the bed as I was covered in tiny itchy bites. Breakfast was edible but expensive. Dreadful experience and surprisingly my son didn’t pass his test on zero hours sleep!
