Tapoco Lodge has old time charm! It’s right near Tail of the Dragon and so many other great roads in the area and has two fabulous restaurants on site. You never know what you’ll see in the parking lot. It’s always cool cars and bikes. There’s hiking on site too. The room I stayed in was comfortable and cozy and the hotel staff was so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved everything about the property! From the hotel staff, restaurant staff, views of streams and mountains, just minutes from Tail of the Dragon. Rooms, the beds are comfortable just an overall great experience. Highly recommend.

The location and setting were spectacular! Our room was clean, comfortable and free of distractions such as a television! The drinks and food offered were delicious and reasonably prlced. Lastly, the employees went out of their way to make our stay extra special. We were particularly impressed with Eric, who actually clocked back in one evening just to come light our firepit! Special thank you to all the employees at Topoco! We are planning a return trip soon!

We have been to this lodge before and returned. It is always a pleasant visit and / or stay. This time, we were with our car club for an overnight, meals and drinks. Service was attentive at the restaurant and bars. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The property has a lot to explore and of course, the sound and view of a great rushing river running through it. We look forward to our next visit.

We began planning a group event at Tapoco Lodge in December of last year, with around 35 guests staying overnight. Sherry Shanahan stayed on top of the planning with us and was a delightful host! Without her enthusiasm and support, we would have had a much different experience, and not in a good way. Having chosen one of the Lodge's buffet dinner options which we held in the Cheoah Room, we had nothing but compliments for the quality and quantity of food provided. Everyone on the staff made us feel like family, and we are already talking about a return trip in 2026. Well done everyone on the Tapoco staff, our group left happy!

Absolutely wonderful one night stay in the Hydrangea lodge room - super comfy bed, friendly staff, great meals at the restaurant, and sitting by the river for hours was such a special treat - we will be back!

Such a quaint, fantastic experience. Quiet getaway, friendly staff, beautiful views, etc. we brought our dogs and they were very comfortable in Santeelah Cabin 3.
