We stayed here 2 nights, the location is good however yasmine Hammamet is quite in general and really not much to do. The staff on check in was trying to make me pay again even though I had paid online. He was adamant that I should pay again until a customer helped communicate. Breakfast didn’t have much option and the staff were not helpful. They only provide 2 little bottles of shampoo so you will have to make sure you bring all your little things. Fridge doesnt work. No iron, no kettle no drinks menu. Online states checkout is 1:30pm which is incorrect, the cleaner was bashing up on my door at 11:30 trying to kick us out and told us its checkout now and demanded to come in.. we shortly left and asked reception what time checkout was and she said 12:00.. You literally get what you paid for and id rather splash out on a better hotel 👍

We booked this venue through Thomas Cook as we preferred to be very close to the beach and their online details showed a picture of what appeared to be a nice venue overlooking lovely beach/sea views. But as it happened the beach was a long walk from the hotel and the nice "on-the-beach-venue " wasn't there. However, when I queried it with the lady behind reception, she seemed to think that the "pop-up" beach venue was only there in the summer...Such a great shame ! The Hotel: It's a nice looking venue and first impressions on entry was a definite "wow".. the little fountain area in the lobby is impressive and there was plenty of seating all around. We received a friendly welcome, and after the formalities we were given our room cards for our room on the second floor close to the lift as requested. Bedroom and bathroom: The room was a little on the small side, but impeccably clean. We needed to speak with reception about something, and luckily there was a phone on the bedside table... but dear readers, when, after pressing various buttons, the phone was just silent! So we moved the bedside table to see if it was actually plugged in... and all we saw was a bundle of wires sticking out of the wall and NONE into the phone. 😂🤣... no wonder it wasn't working! So we went downstairs to mention it and the next thing we knew when we returned to our room, was that reception had sent up the maintenance guy who was only holding another phone in his hand, also without a lead ...which of course was of no use whatsoever... we showed him the wires hanging from the wall and I'm sure he must have understood as he seemed a little embarrassed by the whole silly situation! Think Faulty Towers! It was like a comedy sketch.... and we'd only just arrived! What would be next 😅 The bed was comfortable and came with lumpy pillows - which actually surprisingly enough were also comfy to sleep on. Bathroom: Immaculately clean! No nasty fingermarks on the mirror, and we had the usual bathroom condiments with lovely smelling shower gel and shampoo. There was a walk-in shower as opposed to a shower over a bath, which was great. It had good pressure and the water was always lovely and hot.. it was a pure joy to stand under especially seeing that it was cold.. (still low season) but I didn't expect it to be that cool! The lovely lady who made the bed and cleaned our room each day was a darling! She said her name was Hazel (not sure if I heard her right but it sounded like it..) not particularly Arabic but nevertheless we were able to communicate with each other. And extra special hugs with many "Shukrans" when she decorated our bed with flower petals... such a kind gesture and so so appreciated. Restaurant: Plenty room all round with a help-yourself-style buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the staff behind the buffet and waiters were incredibly helpful and courteous. One tall helpful lovely waiter in a white shirt, whose name I have completely fo

We had a lovely stay at Menara hotel and have actually stayed a couple of times in the past two years. The staff are very kind and friendly, the rooms are spacious and it boasts a lovely outdoor pool to cool off. There's a beach about 10 minutes walk away and taxis are plentiful in the area to take you into Yasmine or downtown Hammamet. The food was good. Not a huge selection which might be an issue for those who prefer a British menu, but the food is tasty and plentiful. Small tips go a long way. And a smile! I knocked off a stay as the pillows are so uncomfortable, air-conditioning is seasonal and there's only one lift in the main reception that was out of action for several days.
