Mehari Hammamet

We stayed at Mehari Hammamet Thalasso and Spa in Tunisia for 8 days. We occupied 1 room and our daughter was in the interconnected room. The outside of the resort looked 5 star but unfortunately for us the inside was a 3 star. I must commend some of the staff who are extremely hard working, kind and friendly. There was a wide choice of activities inside and outside the resort, but more outside activities,there were easy access opposite the resort and on the small beach which is allocated to the resort, that included sky diving, jet skiing etc. a staff member could assist you with access to activities in the resort. There were entertainment day and night at the resort. Room size and views were good. I experience the best massage ever. We unfortunately had some very bad experiences at this resort. Here is the list; 1)2 Leaks in our toilet, 1 in daughter’s room. 2)Terrible fowl sewage smells entering the resort building and in both rooms that fluctuates. 3) Our rooms were not being cleaned at all while there, my daughter found old pizza and towards the end of our stay cockroaches and ants were crawling along the floor. 4)No change of towels/ sheets and supply of toilet paper, we had to find the cleaner regularly for these items. 5)Some of the receptionist’s English were not good therefore communication poor and it was hard for them to understand issues. 6)1 socket in our room. 7)Excessive noise, mainly during day also noisy main road. 6)Food not tasty, unrecognisable to tourists, not always labelled and repetitive food. 7)Few eating areas in resort. 8)Not much drink choices 9)TV had 1 English news channel 10)No WiFi in our room, only foyer. 11)Spa manger/ staff, extremely rude, when trying to sell us spa services, commenting on our personal issues and asking intrusive questions We did complain to reception staff and nothing was never resolved. I would never stay at this resort again.This resort is a 3 star and definitely not a 5 star.

We have just returned today after 11 days in the Mehari . The hotel reception/ bar area is very clean and grand. The staff are very helpful especially Nourdine. The hotel itself is a little tired looking on some areas but is very clean . We had a room on the 4th floor which was very clean , fresh and modern . We could not fault the food , plenty of choice for everybody . The a la carte was amazing . We did not have to fight over sun beds and Ali one of the lifeguards was very helpful with finding us a bed . The beach was lovely and clean and all in all we had a very nice time . I recommend this hotel .

A great place where my wife and I have been for the third time. Unfortunately, this year we had two problems for the first time. After the renovation of the floors and the replacement of carpets with tiles, from lunchtime you can hear the unpleasant and very loud creaking of tables and chairs during cleaning. Unfortunately, it only ends in the evening, so it is difficult to relax in the room after lunch... And unfortunately, there is no peace on the beach either, for some incomprehensible reason, very loud music plays here all day long and the same playlist... If you are unlucky, you can hear music from three sides. From Mehari beach, the neighboring beach and the Aquapark from the hotel next door, and that is really only for the deaf... If this disappears by next year, we will be happy to come for the fourth time. :-) In my opinion, the solution is simple. As it was before, the peace for the guests comes first... Just stick soundproof pads on the tables and chairs and tell the guys on the beach that it is not a disco, but a place where people want to listen to the sea and most of all they want peace... If I want to dance and listen to music, I will come to the SURPRISE SHOW in the evening. The Animatic team was absolutely great, probably the best and most active in the three years we have been coming to you... Otherwise the Hotel, the hotel beach, including the entrance is a beautiful place and the people at the hotel have no problem with anything and are always willing to help day and night... it is nice to come somewhere where they remember you :-)

The hotel was beautiful and clean, the food was wonderful, the room was spotless, the location was perfect! But... what made this holiday amazing were the staff! Entertainment staff, Nada & Alex were incredible! They made us feel so welcome and every day they made sure we were OK, they took the time to speak with us and best of all the laughter, thank you so much xxx The restaurant staff, what can I say, every day we were treated so walmly, we couldn't wait to go see them, the service was impeccable, the food was lovely and there was so much on offer, but the best bit was the desserts lol it was sad when we had to say goodbye we didn't want to leave! Our housekeeper was such a lovely lady, everyday we couldn't wait to come back to our room to see what masterpiece she had created ♥ our linens were fresh, the room was spotless, but most of all we left feeling like we had made a new friend ♥ I have to add the Al la carte restaurant was brilliant, my friend celebrated her 60th birthday while we were there and it was amazing, the gentleman that waited on us was fantastic, the table was beautifully decorated, service was again impeccable, the food was delicious and we even had birthday cake thank you so much for making my friends special day so amazing! Reception staff were so welcoming and professional, they welcomed us so warmly and nothing was too much trouble, thank you ☺ Because of this we will be returning very soon, we cant wait to see everyone again, THANK YOU XXX Michelle P
