The George Hotel and Beach Club

A last minute booking from us... That turned out to be an absolute treat. We had a beautiful room, gorgeous powerful shower and slept really well. We also had breakfast twice and stayed for dinner one evening, all being wonderful. My girlfriend is fabulous in the kitchen and she was very impressed as was I. Go for it! Treat yourself. Five Stars from us ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a great stay! The George is a small comfortable historic( King Charles II used to stay here) boutique hotel with a fantastic location right on the beach and great views directly across the solent in the middle of the pretty village of Yarmouth. Its restaurant serves excellent food and the wood panelled bar, with its open fire, has a robust wine & cocktails list. Some great fine wines. Our room overlooking the garden and sea was warm & simple, providing a really comfortable nights stay. The staff without exception were professional, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. I should mention the slow cooked shoulder of Lamb for two was excellent and frankly staying here feels like being part of a private house party! Easy to get to as-well - the Lymington - Yarmouth ferry is only 50m away so easy to come as a foot passenger if preferred although we took a car to explore a little. Even managed to take a picture of a Spitfire flying over the nearby Needles bathed in the Autumn sunshine! Thankyou Team George for a lovely stay - albeit too short - we will be back!

Lovely stay with very nice included breakfast. The room was clean and the lobby and bar area were very quaint. We had dinner there as well and the food was very delicious. Impressive history and located very centrally. Highly recommend staying here!

We stayed in the Prestige room with balcony (room 15). Both the room, bathroom and balcony were more spacious than we were expecting and equipped with everything we needed. Sunday lunch again, was excellent. The dessert; panna cotta, rhubarb, parkin and fennel was one of the best l have tasted. Absolutely delicious. Lovely to watch the cocktails being expertly made Couldn’t fault anything at all (although you could easily hear the guests in room above us stomping about from 06:30, which obviously wasn’t the hotels fault). Looking forward to staying again.

Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms. The staff were all great and the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. Especially loved the bar area and a we had a wonderful breakfast. It is such a great location, right by the sea. We were made to feel welcome and we loved our stay.

The hotel staff made our made us feel very welcome and really looked after us well. We were celebrating a birthday and they upgraded a room, champagne on arrival and a lovely edible happy birthday message. The hotel rooms were cosy and the hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the island and watching the sun set. The winter lunch deal is really good value too.
