Yantai Fushan District 5-star Hotels

We had a pleasant stay at the Sheraton. Breakfast was good and dinner alright. It’s right by the beach and if you walk towards the pier you will find a place to rent sup boards, kayaks and more. It’s not that close to the popular attractions, DiDi rides are usually an hour or just over an hour to get to the places. We had no problems with anything.

A very nice hotel, lovely room, decent breakfast, comfortable lounge and friendly staff. However, the beach is a sad sight, dirty, covered with debris, no shops, restaurants, bars, no atmosphere whatsoever. boring and dull. city side is a huge factory. not the kind of place to enjoy the seaside. definitely not a ”golden” beach.

My wife and I am from Changzhou and needed a break at the seaside so we decided to book this hotel from 27 July-31 July.We booked a room with a seaview. What we absolutely LOVE: The service and friendly staff, not only the reception staff but even those working at the entrance ,in the lobby. I have to single out one gentleman , I forgot his name , ( see photo 1) wh was extremely helpful and patient. Coming from Changzhou we had to upload the Shandong province health code and we had difficulty getting the health code. This gentleman patiently helped me and my wife to fill in the required info and access our healthcodes for Shandong. He can speak good english and is a real asset for the hotel. 2. Our Room with a view over the beach and the ocean. We had a spacious seaview room , with a bathtub which we LOVED. 3 . The location was perfect, and in close proximity to attractions like the Wine museum. 4. The food was delicious and the meals well prepared. We really liked the beefburgers, which was delicious as well as the dinner buffet outside on our first evening. The breakfast buffet was excellent too. Recommendations for improvement: Ordering room service : When I ordered room service , the lady taking my order could not understand some of the dishes /drinks I ordered( like ginger beer) and poached eggs.However, she send the manager on duty to our room to take our order personally. Thanks! A second time when I ordered room service again , it was also not understood well. When I ordered fresh coffee, the coffee was cold. Maybe next time the coffee could be poured last, just before it gets taken up to the room. Overall, we had a LOVELY stay. Thank you very much.

Facilities: I booked a sea view room, and I can indeed see the sea. Just across the road is the Golden Beach, and my husband can go for a run when he gets up in the morning. This room type can watch the sea while soaking in the bath. There is a laundry room on the 6th floor, with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. It was the end of August when I came here, and the peak season has passed, so I can basically use the washing machine if I want to use it. The hotel also provides laundry detergent and disinfectant. It would be even better if the usage time can be extended to 10:30 in the evening. The decoration is relatively new, and the facilities are satisfactory. Hygiene: The toilet has a smart toilet cover, which is better. The room is cleaned by the aunt every day, and there are notes for us every day, reminding us of rain and other matters, which feels very warm. Service: Every day when we meet the hotel staff, we will greet each other. The cleaning aunt leaves a note every day and even leaves laundry detergent for us. We are used to washing clothes every day, so we asked the front desk for a drying rack to hang the dried clothes, and it was delivered to the room immediately. One day I was waiting for my husband to drive over at the door. The little brother at the door thought I didn't have an umbrella, so he enthusiastically stepped forward to ask and offered to provide it. On the last day of departure, the cleaning lady gave us a small gift bag containing milk, apple, mineral water and alcohol wipes for us. We forgot that there was a set of quick-drying running clothes in the laundry room dryer, so we contacted the front desk, and they found it for us and sent it back, hehe. Environment: The hotel is right next to the golden sand beach, only about 1.8 kilometers away from the big whale sculpture. You can take a walk to catch the sea every morning, and it is also great to take a walk in the evening to watch the sunset. There is a nucleic acid testing booth next to the parking lot, which is very convenient. Going south through the park path next to the Nucleic Acid Pavilion, there is a residential area. If you continue walking on Yanhuashan Road, you can find some restaurants (search Dianping). This living area can provide three meals a day, as well as large and small supermarkets. In general, choosing this hotel this time feels like picking up a treasure. The first time I came to Yantai, I left a very good impression. Especially housekeeping. All the supplies in the bathroom, even if you only used the soap once, he will take it away and replace it with a new one for you. It is recommended to put the new one aside. Although it costs money to stay in a hotel, it still feels like a waste. The paper was not replenished in time. One pair of slippers was obviously worn out. It was already dirty and covered with paper as a new slipper and put it in the slipper compartment. This is very speechless. One more thing to pay attention to: the buffet is only open from Friday to Sunday. Usually not. We checked in from Thursday to Friday afternoon. We asked about the buffet from the front desk. We asked three times. Dianping said it was great. When we checked in at the front desk, we already said that we wanted to eat the buffet, but no one told us that the buffet needs to be booked in advance! It wasn't until 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday that I went to the front desk to ask about the buffet and said that I wanted to make a reservation. At that time, the seats were already full, and a beautiful manager called to add more seats to eat. When I was eating the buffet, I saw several waves of guests bringing their families. I didn't know that I had to make a reservation until I was at the door, so I left disappointed. One of the concierges said it might not be Thursday, let's get someone else to check? A staff member in a hotel is too unfamiliar with the special catering of his hotel. The swimming pool has a constant temperature of 28 degrees, which is very comfortable. Go swimming during the day, the sea is boundless outside, the water quality is clear. I hope Westin in Yantai pays attention to details and gets better and better! will come again next time.

Second time staying at this hotel. Came back because it was so good last time. It's located in the Yantai Economic Development Area, so good access to Golden Beach area and many Korean restaurants. Hotel room is clean and comfortable. Free guest laundry is a great bonus. Breakfast is good with wide choice. Hotel was very busy because of the national holiday but the kitchen staff did an AMAZING job keeping all the dishes refilled at breakfast. Coffe shop on the top floor is nice with lovely views. All in all, good value for money. Would stay here again.

It is suitable for bed-sharing parties with two children. The bedding is good, and it is very comfortable to sleep on. 3. The layout of the public area and restaurant in the hotel lobby is very modern and comfortable, and the breakfast is okay. 5. The bottled water provided by the hotel is free to take, which is generous enough. insufficient: 1. The water flow in the shower is average, which should not be reasonable. The sink is external, and the shower room is transparent. The activities of the child after falling asleep are limited; 2. The family view room I stayed in actually has no view. The platform outside the room is not a balcony, but the extension of the stairs is directly facing the road. I didn’t go out after seeing it when I checked in; 3. Although I didn't drive, it should take a little trouble to park visually. To sum up, the overall feeling is that it belongs to the standard business hotel style, and the price/performance ratio is not bad. It is a good choice for sightseeing in scenic spots based on this.

The lady in the guest room took the initiative to help sort out the scattered clothes, and the room was tidy and clean. The room is arranged on the 11th floor. You can see the sea when standing by the window. The area you can see is very small. The surrounding transportation is very convenient. The breakfast is also very good. There is a Yuhuang Palace and a small garden in the hotel's garden-style backyard, which is good for walking in the evening. Recommendation index five stars!
