I had a terrible time at this place. In over 50 years of traveling this was my worst experience. Maybe it was because I didn't meet the owner who has rave reviews from other guests. But the room I thought I had booked was the first one in the photos. What I got looked nothing like it. Two beds, small, like another guest said, old bedding and only cold water in the sink in the bathroom (the toilet is a squat and the shower enters directly into it). I asked for a different room and was given another one that looked basically the same, just a bit bigger. But the worst experience was that there were five of us coming to the Inn at the same time (a party of 4 and me, a solo traveler). They sent someone to pick us up from the train station (which was great) and when I asked how much it cost the driver told me it was free (which was a surprise and not necessary, but still). Later they asked me to pay 100 RMB for the ride (about 10 minutes). I said either that was outrageous (5 people all paying 100 = 500) or I was paying for everyone which I didn't agree to do, since I didn't know them. I did pay, but they got very insulting and started to shout at me. What they said didn't make any sense (I don't speak Chinese and use a translation app) but they did say was that since I was traveling alone I had to pay double. I felt very uncomfortable. In the end I didn't stay there. I found another hotel down the street that was much more pleasant. As I left the woman came after me and flung the 100 RMB bill on the street behind me. It was the worst experience I've ever had and I've traveled the whole world.

This time when I stayed at the inn, I was lucky enough to get to know the host, Mr. Cai, and I learned a lot about the local culture and scenery. I benefited a lot. Thank you very much!

Dou Sha Pass in Yanjin County, also known as Shimen Pass in ancient times, was a dangerous pass from Shu to Yunnan in ancient times. It was also the main eastern route of the Southern Silk Road connecting the Central Plains, Sichuan and Yunnan. In 2006, an earthquake occurred in Dousha Pass, and the rebuilt Dousha Ancient Town retained its ancient architectural style. Only a section of Wuchidao remains as a real historical relic, so there are not many tourists. The inns on the old street are basically deserted. This inn has a good location and is convenient for eating nearby. It is close to Wuchidao Scenic Area and there is free parking nearby 100 meters away from the inn. The hotel lobby can connect to the Internet, but there is no signal in the room.

The inn is located in the ancient town, very close to the scenic spot gate and parking lot. It takes about a minute or two to walk. The boss and his wife are very nice. The boss Mr. Cai is a lover of Doushaguan history and calligraphy. The five-foot road at the scenic spot gate is The plaque was inscribed by him. After we arrived, Mr. Cai gave us a detailed introduction to the history of Dousha Pass, Shimen Pass, Wuchi Road and the Bo people's hanging coffins so that we could have a planned and purposeful tour the next day. The hotel's hygiene It’s also very good. I will stay here again when I have the chance to come back in the future.

The hotel owner is a calligrapher and local scholar of literature and history. He enthusiastically introduced us to the history of Doushaguan and Wuchidao. The "Fivechidao" plaque on the gate of Doushaguan Scenic Area was inscribed by him.

There is no hot water upstairs. The hot water faucet was turned on for a long time and the water was still quite cold. It was estimated to be 34 to 35 degrees, so I had to make do with washing. To be honest, it was a bit cold... The boss was quite enthusiastic and the room was quite old. Old, this doesn't matter, just a casual one night stay while passing by. The bedding also felt a bit old and yellowed.

It's okay to stay but there won't be any surprises. The boss is the highlight and has a really good attitude. The price/performance ratio is okay, after all, it’s cheap.

The hotel owner is really welcoming. The room is clean and tidy. The price is beautiful. A small problem is that the hot water comes slowly due to the high floor, but after it is hot, it is very comfortable to wash.

A very satisfying stay experience, the store is very welcoming, and it is a store with a lot of cultural heritage. We dropped something in a hurry when we left, and the shopkeeper immediately called to ask how to send it to us after finding out. I also recommended the viewing route taken by the locals. Although it is not easy to walk, it is indeed a step-by-step view, which is so beautiful! Looking forward to the next trip!
