Location is the big plus.  Within the compound there's hot spring baths, historical sites, multiple restaurants (some needing 2 weeks advance reservation).  The only downside, which can't usually be avoided in China's locally managed hotels, is that the habits of people using rest rooms / importance of toilet paper refill is different from what some foreigners are used to. Still, overall I'll give it 4.6 stars given the variety and historical significance of some of the sites within the compound.

The Crowne Plaza is an excellent option in Yangzhou. The location is very convenient; the facilities and service are excellent, and the hotel offers a very good breakfast. Highly recommended!!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, especially for the price. Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was spacious, and everything inside our room were disinfected and vacuumed sealed. The gym was fully equipped with a nice yoga room. The staff even opened the gym for me when I needed to use it at 5AM outside their normal operating hours. Breakfast was superb. You can taste the quality of the food, especially the fresh brewed coffee and homemade yogurt. The only downside was limited amount of laundry machines, but the pros outweighed the con for sure.

Not only is the hot spring water not hot, the shower in the room is not hot, the water on the pipe network, this temperature is warm to the top of the head, and the hair to the shoulder is cold, how to wash! 🙄 The air conditioner is not good, the highest is 32 degrees, the room can hit 17 degrees at night, it is not cold! Go to the toilet and shake, and the sun comes in at 9 o'clock during the day to 22 degrees. Breakfast is average, quite satisfactory, the tomato sauce with chips is gone, and the sliced bread is not matched with jam and butter. The staff is very good, Kohler's bathroom, TOTO's smart toilet, Dyson's hair dryer, so what, the experience is very poor, I also saw the staff take the toilet to plug the toilet... The tram has a charging pile. Remember to pay more attention to whether it is charged. Because I want the staff to help you swipe the card, I moved the car twice anyway. Anyway, not happy ☹️
