I recently had the pleasure of staying at Li Yu Hotel West Street in Yangshuo, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel itself is perfectly located just a short walk from the famous West Street, making it an ideal base for exploring the charming old town, vibrant night markets, and scenic spots along the Li River. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel maintains a calm and peaceful atmosphere, which is perfect after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are stylishly designed, clean, and spacious, with modern amenities and touches of traditional Chinese décor that give it a unique local charm. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, and thoughtful extras like complimentary tea, water, and quality toiletries. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout my stay, which made it easy to plan my daily trips. Another highlight was the rooftop area, where I enjoyed relaxing in the evening with a view of the surrounding karst mountains – a truly magical experience. The front desk staff also went out of their way to help me book a bamboo rafting tour and gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants and cafes. Overall, Li Yu Hotel West Street offers exceptional value for money, blending great service, prime location, and comfortable accommodation. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yangshuo, whether you’re here for adventure, culture, or just to unwind in one of China’s most picturesque towns.

Actually nicely located just at the alley of the happening street, just that the access is a bit tricky. Very narrow car access, might need to walk in. Would be challenging if you bring heavy luggage. The hotel is nicely renovated, and have nice view from rooftop deck.

The room was incredibly spacious, featuring two generously sized single beds, each 1.5 meters wide, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. It was also well-appointed with all necessary amenities and spotlessly clean. The decor was perfectly to my taste. I particularly appreciated the bathroom's separate wet and dry areas, and the wooden flooring which contributed to a simple yet tidy and appealing aesthetic. The owner was a wonderful and incredibly hospitable lady; she was very attentive and always resolved any issues immediately, which was a huge plus! Overall, our stay at the hotel was exceptionally comfortable and cozy.

My second visit to Yangshuo, having driven here from Guangdong, was a fantastic experience at the Guangxi Poetry and Distance Hotel. There's parking and charging stations available. This stay at the Guangxi Poetry and Distance Hotel was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is brand new and clean, exuding a fresh air. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. The staff were incredibly polite, proactively helping us bring our luggage to our room and offering us fruit upon check-in. So many details! The room was thoughtfully appointed, with a bathtub and disposable bath bags, which was both hygienic and reassuring. The bed was the perfect firmness for a comfortable night's sleep. The hotel's car rental service was especially convenient, with simple rules—just pick up your key and go! Getting around was incredibly convenient. The rooftop pool was also fantastic; not too deep, perfect for children. The freshly changed water was clean, without the pungent disinfectant smell. Overall, it met my standards perfectly, and the value for money was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again! [Love]

If I could, I would leave 10 comments to explain how exceptional this hotel is. Fist, the host is the friendliest person I ever met. She speaks good English and helped us to prepare the program to visit Yuangshuo. She suggested us places we would never find ourselves and it made our stay incredible. The hotel also rent brand new scooters for 40 yuan only. She also helped us to get back the sweater we forgot in our previous hotel and organised the delivery. Secondly, the hotel very cozy. You can enjoy the view on mountains directly from your balcony. The reception has many cute cats and the dog. I don’t suggest people travelling with big luggage’s to choose the smallest type of room, but with my boyfriend we were backpacking so it didn’t cause any inconvenience. Finally, I want to highlight all the small intentions you will find. You can ask for all toiletries you can imagine (even sunscreen that can be very useful). There are fruits, snacks and good coffee in the morning. One day the host gifted us face masks and beauty kit. Thanks a lot one more time, you made our stay an incredible!

I came here after reading a lot of reviews and was a little disappointed. Try to evaluate it as objectively as possible. More than 200 yuan a night is indeed very cost-effective. Let me talk about the advantages first. It is a great experience for children. 1. There are toys and playgrounds, the children like them very much and are very happy throughout the whole process. 2. The room is very large, twice the size of an average room. 3. The floor is very clean, which is a good thing. We can let them play in the room without worrying about it getting dirty. This is very important. Give a thumbs up to the auntie who does cleaning! 4. There are snacks in the room 5. Convenient parking, underground parking lot. 6. There is a restaurant nearby with a lot of delicious food. There is a shopping mall opposite, where you can take a walk in the evening. Children can play in the playground and wait until the food is served before letting them come. This makes taking care of the baby much easier. ***** shortcoming: 1. The hotel facilities are old and the lighting in the public areas is dim, which gives a bad feeling as soon as you enter. There are no sockets in the bathroom. The hair dryer has very low wind power and the buttons are broken. The carpets in the corridors and elevators are very dirty, but guests are required to wear shoe covers or indoor slippers. (Wearing slippers is supported, but the public areas are too dirty, so it feels unnecessary) 2. The check-in experience on weekdays is not good: Due to the small number of guests, the air conditioning in the playground and the lobby is not turned on. Parents sweat while sitting with their children, and the children are sweating as if they have washed their hair. It's cooler outside than inside! On the first night, even the beverage cabinet downstairs was not refrigerated, which made the stay experience very bad. The second night we stayed was a weekend and there were many people staying there. The lobby was still quite hot. The air conditioner was finally turned up until almost 10 o'clock in the evening when the amusement park was about to close. ****** ☹️Poor staff management: A male employee sent me a message at around 11:30 asking me if I had slept. When I didn't reply, he rang the doorbells of my room and my family's room at 11:30 after we all went to bed, scaring the children. Just because we wanted to know if the dryer was finished. They told us that the other dryers were in the warehouse and it was too late to give them to other guests, so they chose to ring the doorbells of our two rooms at 11:30! ! Also, we booked 2 rooms, and the air conditioning in one of them was not cooling well. I reported it twice, and it was not until 9pm when I complained again that they turned on the backup air conditioning for me. It's something that can be solved in 5 minutes. (I asked if we could change rooms if the problem could not be solved. But he told me: it is impossible to change rooms after checking in.) The next morning, another female receptionist apologized to me and offered to change rooms if the problem couldn't be resolved. That's when I wasn't so angry. However, the above experience still greatly affected the mood of the entire journey. The girl at the front desk had a very good attitude, so it left a very good impression in the end. If I had met her at the beginning, I would have been happier with this stay!

My best friend and I booked this hotel for our getaway. The front desk service was exceptionally attentive; they started assisting us right after we booked, even proactively asking about our arrival time so they could turn on the air conditioning beforehand. They were also incredibly helpful with detailed recommendations for local attractions and dining spots. On the night we arrived, they thoughtfully prepared a warm dessert, which was a lovely gesture and really made us feel cozy. Despite a minor hiccup with the room, I would still highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Nestled by the mountains, this hotel boasts a wonderful aesthetic. The rooms are very spacious, and although breakfast was simple, the stunning views more than made up for it. Our stay was too brief to visit the 'Forest Cafe', but I'll leave that discovery to you! Sometimes, it's really important to pause during a journey, and this stop here left me feeling incredibly comfortable and content.

Quiet little hotel away from the main busy street. Plenty of food and facilities in the vicinity. Huge room , perfect for a family of 4. Very child friendly as they have toiletries and amenities specially prepared for kids. Lovely garden for an afternoon stroll and photo shoot. Generally well taken care of and good cleanliness. Free laundry service. Highly recommended!

The two young ladies at the front desk are super enthusiastic and enthusiastic. No matter what questions you have, you can consult her and she will help you answer them. You can also add their customer service WeChat in advance to book discounted tickets and make travel plans. It's super worry-free. The location of the homestay is about 100 meters away from the entrance of Shili Gallery, and it is also close to Yulong River on West Street, and it is convenient to take a taxi. I will choose Haolingju next time I come.

This hotel in Yangshuo is worth the price. It was my wife’s choice after on-site checking over 3 others hotels around the town. The room is clean and looks new and not smelly. The bathroom and toilet are separated. The receptionist are very friendly and helpful. They help in operating the public washing machine and help to put the washed clothes into the dryer at the midnight while we are in the room preparing to go to bed. The breakfast is provided and delivered to the room on time. You can order the dishes you like from the menu list the night before. It was a delightful experience with this hotel and I would like to stay in this hotel the next time I come back to Yangshuo.
