Yuesu Waterfront Hotel

Excellent view, a bit far from the centre. Room was very clean and tidy, beds ultra comfortable. There were some imperfections in construction and materials. Personnel helpful.

I’m always on the lookout for places that offer a memorable experience with great ambiance, ideal location, and beautiful views. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is perfect: close enough to downtown to access everything easily, but just far enough from the busiest, tourist-packed streets, making it a quiet retreat. Upon arriving in my room, I was already impressed by the setup and view. Out of curiosity, I asked if they had a room with an even better view, and to my surprise, they upgraded me for free! I offered to pay the difference because the rates are already very affordable, but they graciously insisted on keeping the same price. The staff here go above and beyond. Not only did they provide detailed information, but they also directly booked tours for me. Every tour they recommended was fantastic and reasonably priced, making it hassle-free to explore the area. Additionally, they offer bicycles and electric motorcycles for just 30 yuan for the entire day, which is a huge bonus for anyone wanting to explore on their own schedule. Full disclosure, they did request a 5-star review, but I genuinely feel they earned it by going the extra mile in every aspect. The only minor note is that although some reviews mentioned breakfast being included, it wasn’t available during my stay. However, with the location and easy access to nearby cafes via the electric motorcycles, finding breakfast options was incredibly convenient. In short, I have only great things to say about this hotel. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, well-located, and memorable stay!

Extremely extremely great customer service. They had bike rental (at market rate) & also provided tours/ticket purchase for popular attractions (they got better rates than most online sites & tour agencies). Better to just book with them directly. Felt super well taken care of throughout my stay there and receptionist jiejie was always providing me with the best advices on how to go about my day and where to get the most value purchases. You can feel that they are genuinely trying to help you and not make money from you which is really rare in such a touristy location. Also almost got scammed and they problem solved it with me, helped me to scold the scammers and got my money back. Super grateful for them. Extremely amazing hosts & very nice place. Would definitely come back and recommend y’all to stay with them as well!

Great value hotel. A quick drive to West Street or other tourist attractions. Plenty of eating options in walking distance. The staff was very friendly, gave us good advice on where to visit, helped us book tickets, and even helped us get parking on a crowded street. The room had an amazing view! Spectacular view of a karst limestone hill with a small lake. The bed was comfy. It seemed the room went under recent renovation, with some modern touches. The aspect that was difficult for me was the smell of cigarette smoke all throughout the hotel. Indoor smoking is a cultural part of China. I don't smoke and the smell was hard for me to withstand. Once you enter the hotel it smells like smoke. Our room also smelled like smoke, which was sad, but what could we do? If you don't mind the smell of cigarette smoke, this hotel is a wonderful value with friendly staff.

The hotel is very nice but it needs some small upgrades as it seems a bit outdated. You can hear the noise from the street if you're located on the street side of the hotel unless you choose a room with a closed balcony. Despite booking a standard room, after asking for something quieter the guy from the reception upgraded us to a more quiet room 🙂 I would suggest to the owners of the hotel to check the mattresses because we could feel the springs in ours. Very helpful staff, good location, you can rent a bicycle or electric scooter directly with them. Also a shuttle bus to Guilin. Altogether it was a nice stay

As a solo traveller who didn’t do much research beforehand, the people at the hotel were so helpful to help me plan my route for both days in Yangshuo. Helped with every single bookings and renting the scooter. You can’t ask for a better hotel stay in Yangshuo.
